As I had a very short layover between flights, I got a seat close to the door, and rushed out, towards Immigrations. Waited in line for about 15 mins, presented my envelope, and was congratulated by the officer. He then took my (right hand) prints, put all the stuff in a folder and sent me to Secondary Inspection. Handed in the folder, and then waited. There was a scene from Border Security going on there, with someone being (very agressively) interrogated [and eventually being denied], so had to wait for that. After about 15 mins, I was called up to the desk, he gave me my passport, and said "You have until March 15th to get married. Congrats, and welcome to the U.S. !" . No questions whatsoever!

All went ok. We had connecting domestic flight and had time to wait. There were some Islamic people in the secondary check room and they were still there when we departed. |

We waited 45 minutes in the waiting room.
I was glad we had several hours layover and not only 1h50 like most of the airlines were offering. One can never be sure when the next available flight will be if you miss the first one as airlines tend to overbook more and more. |

I gave my fingerprints at the booths and handed over my passport. I mentioned to the officer that i was entering on a K1 visa and that i had an envelope to hand to an immigration official. He sent me to another room where i handed over my envelope and passport then i was told to take a seat. I waited for almost an hour as the room was full. Although there was a long wait the process after my name was called was really easy. The man asked me if i understood that i had to marry within 90 days. I said yes and he sent me on my way |
