I travelled with my fiancee back to the USA after a short holiday in Europe and we went through immigration together. The officer was cordial, opened the packet, stamped my passport, reminded us we had 90 days to get married, and then sent us on our way. All together, less than 5 minutes and painless. |

We landed in Boston on time. This wasn't my first time going through customs at that airport and it has always been quick and easy. I went to the visa/first time ESTA line and only had to wait for about 15 minutes. The CBP officer was very nice and asked me when we plan on getting married. I said we didn't have a date set yet, and he told me we have 90 days, until June 10th. He opened the sealed envelope and looked at my medical documents. I asked him if he needed the x-ray CD too and he told me I could keep it. He said everything looked ok, stamped my passport and wished me good luck. |
