Something we did not expect considering what we have read about Detroit, and what I myself have experienced while coming home from Japan. Immigration asked how long she had been married, even though the officer was looking over her K-1 fiancée visa. Perhaps a trick question. Officer then asked when we planned on getting married, and after her response of "in a week and a half", the officer then reminded her that she had 90 days to get married. Maybe the officer was just reading from a queue card or something. Who knows. But it was a surprisingly painless and quick process.	2010-08-01
