First Immigration Officer was helpful and professional.
Was taken to secondary interview in separate room, she was ask same general questions about our relationship, where was going to live and was told how important the 90 time frame to be married. The second immigration officer even made some jokes. the process took about 1 1/2 hours due to the airport being busy and the amount of incoming international flights. Overall the entry experience was great |

POE:Landed at 3:11pm and went to immigration line.
I was in the queue for like 10 minutes when I stepped up to the officer. The questions were:
1. How long are you staying?
2. Are you planning on going back?
3. Where is your brown envelope and passport?
I handed over and told to stand over by wall for someone to call for me.
and took me into secondary questioning. The system was done so it was very backlogged, There were many people there waiting.
I was there for 2 hrs.
Had bio-metrics. Was pretty easy no hassle. Just long, long time. Finally was able to go get luggage and go meet my wife almost 4 hours after landing. That was the hardest part.
I had been traveling since 11am the following day so it was too much.
But I am home now.
Houston is a beautiful POE and massive big. |

We arrived in Houston, Texas on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at around 6:30 PM. We went through Immigration were they scanned both of our passports, took the packet and his passport and told us to wait behind the counter. About 3 minutes later another officer came up and took my fiances packet and passport and asked how old he was. He replied: 28 and told me that he was old enough and asked me to wait behind the roped off area while they took him back and went through his packet. So I waited from about 7:25 to 7:50 for him to come out thinking they were grilling him and asking him all kinds of questions, but they weren't, they were very nice (One White Female and One Black Female). When he got out he said they where very nice to him, he said that was the easiest process with the nicest people out of the whole process from the medical to the interview to picking up his paperwork. They were interested in him because he was from Jamaica and asking him personal questions for their interest, they even said they were coming to the wedding. They gave him advice on our relationship (never go to bed mad at her, never leave your wife, etc.). Then they introduced him to another Immigration Officer who was actually Jamaican (Male) and they talked (Speaking their language of Patwah) for a little while and that was it. We went through Customs after we got our bag and that was it. |
