The airport is different than others. You have to go trough baggage claim twice!!!. After you arrive you go trough passport control. The officer takes your passport and the packet from the embassy put it in a plastic folder and ask for another officer to come and escort you to a office where they will review your documents. Don't expect them to be fast. They are not in any hurry. After waiting probably 40min in this office then proceeded to get my suitcases. You need to drop them again at a lane and get trough a security check for your hand luggage. Then you show your customs form to a guy. I bought some things from duty free and they pulled me out for additional luggage checks (this was while i was with my suitcases). After that you go on a train to baggage claim and hope your luggage is there. Mine wasn't. I asked the lady from the airline and she said it might take 1-1.5 hours to get it!!!! Mine was out in 30 min (thank god). The whole experience took 3 hours after landing. Be prepared for some waiting. GOOD LUCK |

Just confusing where to go. The guy on PoE was too busy on his damned phone. They (immigration) asked where my wedding was going to take place, I said "near Stone Mountain" and they asked if they could come! |

The Atlanta airport is large and kind of a mess to navigate. However, everything with immigration went smoothly. My fiance arrived on a Tuesday afternoon, which could be why there was not much of a wait for him. They checked my fiance's passport, visa, took his fingerprints and then put his passport and sealed envelope in a clear plastic envelope with green trim on it, and took him to another room. He waited about 10 minutes before he was called, where the immigration officer opened his package to enter him in the system. He was nice and personable, and only asked a few basic questions like my name, address, when and where we were getting married. He was helpful and kind enough to take the time to write out his A# for him when he was told we did not get the A# on our NOA2. He reminded him that he only had 90 days to get married, filled out and stamped his I-94, and then congratulated him and sent him on his way. The overall time it took from waiting in lines, getting fingerprinted, and talking to the immigration officer was 20-30 minutes. |

Got off the plane, went to the immigration and joined the queue, waited for about 45 mins., staffs were friendly, when it comes to my turn, they opened the K1 package, asked me few basic questions; when is the wedding, where in the states i'm going to stay, what's my fiance surname. While the staff asking me questions, at the same time, took my fingerprints and a photo shot, then directed me to the isolated room for more immigration check. There was a bunch of people waited ahead of me, so it took me to 1 & 1/2 hr to wait for my turn. After the long wait, stamped my passport, got the I-94 form w/ A# on it & reminded me to marry w/in 90 dys. I was a bit worry of my connection flight but luckily it was changed the flight time schedule. And I thanked God I arrived safely to my destination even though it was delayed for many hours due to flight schedule. |
