Flight arrived into Chicago at 12:40pm, got to immigration 10-15 mins later and there were no queues what so ever! After rushing past everyone to beat the crowd and queue, I was first up to be called to the desk.
Told the officer that I was entering the US on a K1 and handed him the sealed package. He then opened it and while he was looking through all the documents, he asked me a few questions:
How did you and Tyler meet? (through a friend gaming online)
Who is the friend? (one of his best friends)
Where is Tyler? (At home in his hometown)
When is the wedding? (no specific date yet but will be sometime in January)
The officer then took my fingerprints and picture, then began to explain that we have to get married within 90 days (5th february). He then stamped my passport and resealed the package and told me it'd be forwarded to the USCIS and then he sent my on my way. I was maybe only with the guy for 10-15 mins. |

Point of entry was at O'Hare international airport in Chicago.
The customs officer was very polite and took my wife's packet from the interview and had us wait aside.
After about 5 minutes we were brought into a large waiting room. We waited there for about 15 minutes and then they called my wife's name, said welcome to the United States and we left to get our baggage. |
