Beneficiary entered via ATL from Barcelona and was 5th in line at immigration. He indicated that he was entering on a K-1, and the agent escorted him to a side-office. A secondary agent quickly browsed the forms, signed the envelope, and welcomed him to the US.
Process took less than 5 minutes, no questions asked. |

POE was smooth. However, it took around 1.5 hours to get through the line and then, more waiting for the secondary processing.
If you have a connecting flight, be sure to take this into consideration. You need enough time to get through passport control/immigration, pick up your checked luggage, go through customs, drop off checked luggage, TSA security check and get to your departure terminal/gate.
Just to be on the safe side, I'd recommend at least a 3-4 hour layover if you need to take a connecting flight from your POE. |
