When we told him we were entering using my K1 Visa he asked me "So you two are married then, yes?" To which I said "Not yet". Then he asked me if we were going to apply for the K1 Visa - and I said "Well, we already did, and we got that visa there, and now we have to do the next steps" He turned to his computer for a few seconds then asked my fiance to open up our u-haul so that he could take a look inside of it. No problems there, my fiance got back in the car and two seconds later he asked me if I had all of the paper work, and asked to see it before handing over a little ticket. We pulled over, waited 2hrs inside the building and 5 minutes talking to an officer we were approved and continued on home!!!!! <3	2018-08-19

The border guard that we saw at the gate was a little.. unfriendly.. He sent us off to the office. Everyone inside the office was friendly and polite, we were the only people in there. After an hour an agent said he had been manually reviewing everything from the packet with the multiple computer systems to make sure there were no errors. Everything checked out and he gave the standard advice on what the next steps were. Very friendly. The one hitch was whether I was supposed to get an I-94 or not, as I was a Canadian citizen entering by land from Canada. The two agents there speaking to me suggested not, and I was fine with that but didn't want to have to go back there or go to a deferred inspection office if not, so they asked their supervisor and he said give me one. The original agent, upon taking my money, said "I can't believe they're making you pay $6." I gather it wasn't necessary (it was when I got a J-1 exchange visa 9 years earlier, apparently), but I won't cry over $6.	2018-02-26
