Both the lines to get to a CBP officer and the lines to get through security again were quite long so if IAD is not your final stop, I'd recommend at least a three or four hour layover to be sure you can make it to your next flight.	2019-09-19

The waiting lines were long but once it was my turn it took less than 5 minutes! No questions asked other than my finger prints and boarding pass. I was wished good luck in my marriage and congratulated with it, and that was it! Looks like as long as you are honest and have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry here!
