It took about 10 min, the officer was very nice and I didn't even have to go in a separate room. He just told me that I have to get married within 90 days, kept the whole package and said this will be forwarded and wished me all the best. |

Easy entry and courteous immigration officer. Asked if I knew how long I had to get married per the visa. Repeated the exact same thing I told him... 90 days etc etc.. and sent me off |

The POE officer from homeland security was extremely friendly. I was surprised! She basically welcomed me to the US. No questions of any sort, just chatted a little. Then she actually left her post and escorted me to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection room, where I finalized the paperwork and took the fingerprints.
All was quite straight forward and on the way to the room I was allowed to pick up my bag from the carrousel.
I was positively impressed!!!
Note: I received my SSN 2 weeks after entry and my green card 3 weeks after entry. |

Linny and I reached Logan Airport mid-day on the 9th of November 2015. We approached the immigration/customs area and asked if we could proceed through together. They allowed me to accompany her through the Visa line instead of the U.S. passport holders line.
Once at the counter the officer had very few questions for us, mostly how we met, how long I had been out there helping her with the K-1 visa, etc. Linny had her fingerprints taken, and was not given an I-94, her POE data instead being registered online. All in all it was a painless experience. |
