Dazzelz M & A Boston 2016-12-06 Yes,Passport Stamp Yes - High After we've landed in Boston Logan airport, I made my way to the immigration counters. I didn't head there immidiately as I needed to freshen up before I meet my husband so used the ladies room first, didn't rush there as I brushed teeth, applied make up etc. (May sound trivial but I assume meantime my flights passengers probably had a large queue at the immigration desk area). The airport immigration desks were fairly empty when I got there. Most of the US citizens (Probably all) use the electronic entry system (which is gate like - like how it's in train/subway stations) I then asked a security officer which queue should I be heading to just to make sure. I was directed to the correct counter, waited for around 2 minutes or so then I was next in line. The middle-aged officer was friendly and had a smile as I handed him my sealed envelope, as well as medical report. I offered an explanation that I'm here with an immigrant visa to be with my husband. He smiled and handed my medical reports saying "I'm gonna let you hold on to that" He asked basic questions like, Where will I be staying, confirmed address to be sure that my GC will be going to the right address (well that's another story) I was also asked if I had bought any food with me, and how much cash I had on me. My biometrics were taken and he slightly stood up showing my passport explaining how my visa sticker with the stamp will be a valid temporary GC till the real one arrives. Meanwile I can use that for now. He then welcomed me to America and I wished him a nice evening. Luggage area was nice and efficient, I was able to gather all my belongings in the span of 5 minutes. There were officer with cute dogs (seruisly cute looking canines - not your typical wolf like dogs) walking around bags and suit cases, when the dog was around mine, it totally ignored my cases and moved on. But when a few meters away and was sniffing away at another passengers suitcase. The lady officer then asked if she could take a look at their bags. So I guess some checks depends if the cute ceatures get interested in your belongings. Headed out and met my husband and his family. Praise Almighty, together at last! :) 2020-09-15

Luisa & Tom Boston 2017-03-13 - High We landed in Boston on time. This wasn't my first time going through customs at that airport and it has always been quick and easy. I went to the visa/first time ESTA line and only had to wait for about 15 minutes. The CBP officer was very nice and asked me when we plan on getting married. I said we didn't have a date set yet, and he told me we have 90 days, until June 10th. He opened the sealed envelope and looked at my medical documents. I asked him if he needed the x-ray CD too and he told me I could keep it. He said everything looked ok, stamped my passport and wished me good luck. 2021-05-20
