Straight forward! Advised to go to new visa line (my fiancé could join me) the border officer was straight to the point, told us my fiancé couldn’t wait whilst my K1 was processed, which was fine, i met him at baggage claim.
The officer took my big envelope from the embassy (he didnt want my chest x-ray cd), signed some paperwork, stamped my passport & drew a line through my visa, asked me one question; “do you have any food?†Took my right hand fingerprints & my picture then said i was all set & off i went to baggage claim :) |

Border officer was very friendly. Asked for packet we were given from K1 interview. We gave it to him and he opened it and sent us on our way. Very easy. We were concerned as we brought local foods (dried veggies, homemade peanut butter, even sesame seeds and peanuts for eating) and went through baggage inspection - they sent us on through after asking what was inside without even looking through our luggage. Overall a lot less stressful than we were expecting and super happy with the results. Now in USA!!! |
