Very smooth. I went through the "visitors" line and the officer took my passport and my sealed envelope, checked my fingerprints and took a picture of me. He asked who was my peitioner and after my answer he returned my passport and the sealed envelope. He also gave me an extra folder and told me to go to the next room. There they took everything again and started to type all my information in their system. They took my fingerprint and signature for the GC and told me that it will be delivered within 2 months. They stamped my passport and welcomed me to America! |

As I had a very short layover between flights, I got a seat close to the door, and rushed out, towards Immigrations. Waited in line for about 15 mins, presented my envelope, and was congratulated by the officer. He then took my (right hand) prints, put all the stuff in a folder and sent me to Secondary Inspection. Handed in the folder, and then waited. There was a scene from Border Security going on there, with someone being (very agressively) interrogated [and eventually being denied], so had to wait for that. After about 15 mins, I was called up to the desk, he gave me my passport, and said "You have until March 15th to get married. Congrats, and welcome to the U.S. !" . No questions whatsoever!
Made the connecting flight, so all good! |

All went ok. We had connecting domestic flight and had time to wait. There were some Islamic people in the secondary check room and they were still there when we departed. |
