I crossed at the same POE every 2nd Friday on the 10:45pm Greyhound. When we finally got married the worst harrassment I got was \"ohh and here we thought you crossed so often to see us\" and \"we were taking bets on how long it would be before you got hitched\" |

Immigration Officers were very pleasant, they looked at the itemized list of belongings in moving van, had a look inside the moving van and processed the paperwork very quickly. I even got a "Welcome to the U.S." |

Boston was a very good place. Flight landed @ 5.20pm, walked to customs where I was told to stand at counter 18 (only 1 person before me). Handed the brown envelope to the gentleman, he looked through it, ask me for my fingerprints, asked if i knew when i was getting married and stamped my passport, that was it, VERY simple process. He asked if i was going to work or study, I said I will have to work at some point, what with having a 6 week old baby etc, he told me that once i am married to file for employment card at my local CIS office, then said welcome to America.

Arrived by ship into Boston harbour, immigration officials board the ship and everyone is processed on board before leaving the ship, except us, they have not the means to process immigrant visas and didn't know what to do with us, after a lengthy wait they cleared us through customs and told us to take a taxi to Boston Logan Airport where they would have to deal with it. When we arrived at immigration at the airport they were not sure what to do with us either, evenually they took fingerprints stamped our passports with entry stamps and wrote CR1/CR2 in the middle of the stamp. |
