Crossed at the Pembina/Emerson border crossing at the Manitoba/North Dakota border. Despite the fact that we were told all our documents would be available electronically, they still asked to see the originals - always have them with you! We were there about 45 minutes and had no issues (except Fox News blaring in the background). If anything we expected them to have more questions or to check our car, but nope! The entire thing was mostly waiting for them to process the paperwork, which was probably a little more involved since I was also re-importing my car back to the US. |

At my POE at Chicago O' Hare the CBP guy wasn't that bothered, he just took the packet and stamped the visa in my passport and that was it, 3 minutes and I was on my way. |

It doesn't let me choose the calgary airport. Couldn't have asked for three nicer gentlemen I interacted with. I flew in early and will drive back for my stuff. They asked me a few questions and confirmed my address which actually has changed (I updated online but they didn't have it yet). Maybe 40 minutes tops including airport security? |

The border agent at the initial drive-up was very rude. He told us the K-1 Visa was not supposed to be inside my Passport & kept arguing when we told him this is what the consulate did. He eventually told us to stop speaking when we were trying to answer a question he asked. Once inside, they were very nice and we had no further problems. Alexandria Bay New York, land crossing. |
