Simply file, setup notification accounts with the USCIS online resources for emails and sms messages, set personal calendar reminders at major date milestones and then forget about it and move on with your daily life. 2019-05-25

GT & RAC California Service Center 2018-02-27 2018-03-12 2018-05-23 Yes 2018-06-05 Active duty military serving overseas. We haven’t applied for an expedited processing but somehow got approved and received GC in 2months. We have children together, tons of financial ties in between, on military orders and command sponsored where we are stationed at. Almost all family members came to visit us here therefore many photos etc. They were all included in our package. 2019-09-11

Davecj Janice & Dave California Service Center 2016-12-05 2016-12-08 2017-01-10 2018-05-23 2018-05-23 Yes Yes We filed for citizenship a bit later. See below. Both Citizenship and Lifting of conditions were approved at the same time, so green card received date is n/a for us. If your i-751 case is taking forever, and you have nothing else keeping you from filing for citizenship, I highly recommend it. You do not have to have an approved i-751 to FILE for citizenship. You only have to have it to receive your citizenship. When we found that out, we decided to file for citizenship just to get our i-751 case moving, and the strategy worked beautifully. Side note: The St. Louis field office is the best USCIS office we've dealt with to date. The officers actually seem to care. 2018-06-23
