June 01, 2023 - Mailed I-751 to USCIS via FedEx overnight
June 02, 2023 - Case received by USCIS (Case Status: "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent")
June 07, 2023 - Got text message from USCIS with the receipt number telling us that our case was received and NOA has been mailed.
June 09, 2023 - USCIS case status changed to "Case is being Actively Reviewed by USCIS" (when we checked on June 12th)
June 15, 2023 - Got the I-797 (NOA) in the mailbox (with a notice date of 6/9/23) informing us that our I-551 (permanent resident card) validity has been extended by 48 months.
June 16, 2023 - Got another I-797C (NOA) in the mailbox (with a notice date of 6/9/23) telling us that biometrics appointment has been waived. |

My I751 was transfered to NBC on Dec 2018.
I filed N400 while I751 was pending. This was upon research of other peoples comments and advise of lawyers who claimed it will speed up the process.
BIG MISTAKE. This resulted in combo interview of both I751 and N400. Meaning unnecessary stress and huge amount of preparation.
What is worse it did not speed up the process it delayed it. Indeed if I did not file N400 and waited a few month I would have got I751 one year ago. The process of N400 is less than a year so I would have been either better off or similar situation. |
