Well my interview was as follows: I arrived with one hour in advance at the consulate for pure anxiety because I was one of the last to be interviewed. The line for K-1 is separated from the others. So we refer to the second floor with a password (no good to go before your interview will not let you enter it). Reaching the second floor will be in a room with the other petitioners k-1 visa that will be as nervous as you. The girl's reception will give all necessary information and order for the documents. Then send you to a booth where there will be another woman who will check if all documents are in order. After all people have the documents in order to call the consul begins by name. It is called a random so do not be upset if the person who came and / or completed after you are named on the front. People do not take too long into the room with Consul (the interview is made through a glass). With me it was just that: I was one of the last to be interviewed despite having arrived an hour before. He looked at my documentation and asked how many times my boyfriend had been to Brazil, I answered once. Then he asked if my boyfriend spoke Portuguese I said no. Then he asked if I spoke English I said I do private lessons in English for ten months. He asked me to sign several papers and then said can encamnhar to pay the fee for me since I live in Rio de Janeiro left of R $ 30.00 (but this value will change according to what state you live ). Well then, it was! Hope that helps. Do not be nervous all are in great demand 2011-05-02
J & J Brazil Vermont No Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 2010-08-27 2010-09-07 2011-01-28 2011-02-04 2011-02-09 2011-02-16 2011-03-01 2011-04-12 2011-04-14 2011-04-20 228* 11 143 74 I arrived at 6:30 a.m and a woman looked at our pics (the 2 pics 5X5 OR 5x7) and gave us passwords and we are called to a room and They see if all documents are ok. When we got into the Embassy the same woman who looked at pics, gave us a paper to fill out and We need to put our names, case number, address, temporary address (example: hotel)in Rio de Janeiro(or the state where you will be interviewed),your telephone, address of petitioner (your fiance(e) and telephone, your e-mail and e-mail of your fiance(e) After They give to the consul and you are called to be interviewed. She gave us a paper with list documents you must show them to be interviewed. You must put documents in order according to the list. My interview was very easy and the consul asked how did we meet, how many years of relationship, when we met in person, If have been in US before and He was very nice and friendly. :) The consul did not ask to see evidences of our relationship like: Pics,e-mails , receipts of hotels and etc.... If your relationship is true and your documents are ok, so do not worry! PLEASE TAKE ALL DOCUMENTS WITH YOU!!! THERE WAS A GIRL WHO DID NOT GET COPY OF HER BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND JUST TAKE 1 COPY OF FORM DS 156... I DO NOT KNOW IF SHE WAS APPROVED OR NOT. ACCESS AMERICAN EMBASSY SITE AND SEE THE LIST ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AND COPIES! PLEASE DO NOT FORGET ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND COPIES! THERE WAS A WOMAN WHO WAS DIVORCED, BUT SHE TOOK JUST THE COPY OF HER DIVORCE DOCUMENT AND IT SHOULD BE ORIGINAL AND COPY. I DO NOT KNOW IF SHE HAD PROBLEMS! WHEN YOU TAKE PICS( 5x5 OR 5x7) PULL YOUR HAIR BACK, BECAUSE YOUR EARS MUST BE ALL VISIBLE! GOOD LUCK! 2011-04-21
