Surprisingly i got an RFIE because some of my documents and forms were missing more likely due to the lockbox incompetence. But luckily i had them saved digitally so i uploaded them to my USCIS account the following day. 2nd RFE : Was surprised we received another RFE this time to prove marital status from the time we got married until now. We submitted the following : Apartment lease with both our names Bank Transfers between us both Messages Mail with my name and address Mail with my partner name and address Photos of us together with his family Signed affidavits from 2 persons 2025-06-14

We attended the interview which was rescheduled for 6/2/2025, and at the end of the interview, the officer initially told us he was not able to approve the I-485 due to a lack of strong enough evidence of a bona fide marriage, and gave us an RFE at the interview. The RFE stated many items we had already provided in our initial application, as well as the additional items we brought with us to the interview, so we were very disheartened and confused. We discussed the interview results with our lawyer who also was confused by this outcome, and gave us a laundry list of last-ditch evidence options we hadn't already provided. It seems our biggest issue was lack of shared finances, however the beneficiary had been in the US for 5 of the 6 years of marriage, unable to work or earn income, and I, the petitioner, previously owned the house and car we now live in prior to our marriage in 2019, so all finances are in my name. Not sure what changed, but on June 4, a couple days after the interview, we received a call from our case officer who said that he had decided he was going to approve both I-130/131 and I-485 after all. Green Card should arrive by mail within the month! 2025-06-04
