Christina99 Simon & Christina K1 Philadelphia PA 2018-07-28 2018-08-03 2018-08-27 2019-06-12 2019-06-12 Yes Interview time 9:00 am. Arrived approximately 8:45. Was called prompty at 9 am. Interviewer brought both of us into her office and asked us to raise right hand and swear the responses we were giving this day were truthful. She then asked for drivers license ID, birth certificates, and passports for each person. She reviewed each document carefully then checked them off a list. She asked for my husband's Social Security number. She asked what documentation we were presenting to prove the marriage was a bonafide marriage. I had a packet of information that contained bank statements, insurance policies, tax filings, and the 1st pages/cover pages of legal documents such as Wills, Power of Attorneys, Deeds, Photos. I started to explain that I also brought the complete original Legal documents (Wills) if she wanted to see those beyond the cover pages). She said just present me with the documents you are submitting, I will review them... needless to say I kept my originals because I am not sure that packet is ever coming back - so definitely make copies or just do 1st pages of important legal documents! She then proceeded to read each document very meticulously. We sat there in silence for about 10-15 minutes. Then she asked my husband basic things - country of birth, date of birth, and a long checklist of questions - the same that is in the original application like have you ever committed a crime, have you ever participated in serious acts like trafficking, etc. - all of course no answers. Then she said she will review the paperwork and send decision in the mail. Goodbye. She was not conversational but she was not unfriendly either. It was very matter of fact. There was no questioning about how we met or anything. Im assuming all will be fine and it will be approved. In this entire process - from K1 through the final interview, we never received a single RFE and its just gone according to standard processing timelines. I assume this will be the same. Uneventful - and thats just fine with me. I will update once we get notice by mail. UPDATE: I kept checking the USCIS website once we got home, thinking the interviewer would likely update her cases at the end of each day. At 4:30 pm still no change however at around 6:30 pm I received a text message from the USCIS system saying the case had been updated. I logged on and the status had been changed to Card is Being Generated. So yay, approved! Today another text message was received saying Card is Being Mailed. 2019-06-13
