It turns out that our medical packet from the K1 process probably never made it to Charlotte. The IO will try to track it down, but no guarantees here. We now wish that we had conducted a US civil surgeon appointment to get an i-693 ahead of time, even though technically we didn't need one due to K1 entry. The interview otherwise went well, but we were quite disappointed not to be resolved yet. So, we await further information! UPDATE (Feb 11, 2020): Green card approval suddenly happened on Jan 30. We didn't have to do anything else, luckily. We received the card February 3. Still, I recommend everyone to get i-693 before your interview, to be 100% safe. Good luck all! | 2024-04-11

We arrived 30 minutes early, went through security and got our number. We waited in the room for an hour before we were called. They tell me the San Antonio office stays very busy. We were called back by the agent and went back to her office. Nataly provided the information, she was sworn in, and the questions started. Not a single question for me, but my wife was asked many questions. SHe had difficulty understanding the questions completely and froze. She even forgot her phone number she was so stunned. No worries, the agent called a phone translator in Russian and had no issues after that on the questions. It was anticlimactic after such a long wait, but it is now finished. Hopefully we have her green card next week and will not need to worry about this process for two years :) | 2023-04-28
