He called us to his office and chatted with us about how we met and asked for any current info like joint accounts and we told him we need the card to get joint accounts. very short interview and at the end he said we are missing the I-693 from our packet. he told us we were approved but we had to go to a civil surgeon and have him complete the vaccine section only and he said it would take 30 days after we mailed in the I693. We left kinda bummed cause we thought we had everything. The town we interview in is 80 miles from our house so my wife said lets see if we can get completed while we are here. I called the first person on the list and she said they dont do partial only all but she gave me a phone number of someone that does. I called the new number and it rang 9 times I was about ready to hang up and an old man answered. He knew exactly what I needed and said he was not working today but he was in the office and if we hurried he would take care of us. WOW!!! We were at his office in 5 minutes thank god for a tom-tom. He took the paperwork that they gave us at the USCIS and filled it out in 20 minutes. He was a 70 year old doctor and was very pleasant and friendly. He said good luck and asked for $ 20.00 WOW that is all!! and said have a happy life. We raced back to the USCIS office and walked into the hallway and ran into our interviewing officer and hand delivered our I-693 to him. He smiled and said wow you have it done already, I said yep. Very nice guy to deal with. At 10:00am the next day we got a email that said the Green card is in the mail YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! We were blessed 2013-02-16
Deryck and Miho Miho & Deryck K1 Portland OR 2010-03-15 2010-03-25 2010-04-13 2010-04-19 2010-06-22 2010-06-22 Yes No 2010-06-30 RFE for needing to take vaccinations / medical examination was in error. USCIS lost or misplaced medical documents my wife submitted to the immigration officer upon entry to US. Contacting USCIS directly did not reveal any information other than what was listed on the RFE, so we had our congressman contact them. Voila! Medical documents magically found and our case is moving forward again. 2012-09-24

The lady was super nice. First of all, she asked us our ID and my Advance parole. She asked us a few questions : how did you meet? when and where? what are you going to do in the US? If my husband knows my family well? when and where did we get marry? She talked to my husband about his career and asked us if we have any pictures from our wedding and if you have a joint paperworks, so we showed her our bank account statements, our phone bills and health insurance paperworks. At the end of the interview, she said "I'm going to approve your case right now, you are going to get your green card in a few days". She gave me back my passport but not my advance parole, so I told her that I'm going to visit my family and friends next week to France, and she said "Oh well, I'm going to put the I-551 stamp in your passport, it's a temporally green card until you get the real one by mail". 2010-07-22

Luckily, I got an Infopass appointment & they stamped my passport for 2 months. The next day, as luck would have it, I received my Green Card! 2020-07-27
