Our second I-485 application was received on June 09, 2020 and notice was sent out on June 14, 2020. A 1-485, Request for Initial Evidence was sent to us on June 26, 2020 and USCIS received our response to this request on August 13, 2020. I was invited for biometrics appt. on 20th January but the centers were closed for inauguration security & my appt. was rescheduled to February 12th 2021. I was invited to an interview on 13th July 2021 but this was cancelled and rescheduled for 3rd August 2021. The interview was lengthier than I anticipated but the only documents we were asked to show were our driving licenses. The questions were fairly standard and although I was nervous (and had apparently made some mistakes on the form), the officer was very understanding. We were informed of approval during the interview but no promises were made about how long to await the Green Card. This arrived within the week. | 2025-08-27 | |||
