I never had access to these papers, so some bureaucrat lost them - an error that cost me $290 to see a civil surgeon and cost me about one month of waiting time. My case is now approved as of 8/14. | 2018-08-17

About a half hour wait we were called back to a private office. We were both sworn in and our IDs and beneficiary's fingerprints taken. Asked simple questions like "how did you meet" "do you get along with the family" "where do you live". We showed her our wedding album and she loved it, asked a few questions about the wedding like "who attended" "what flavor was the cake". Then she proceeded to ask all the yes/no questions regarding the I-485. It took about an hour, and afterwards she said the interview went good and gave me a high five! They did give us a sheet of paper saying they would review the case, and they would be sending a request through the mail if they needed anything more. She said we would be receiving the green card within 10 days. I asked her about the removal of conditions process, and if we would get a stamp and she said no. My advice would be to just be prepared, and don't be nervous. If your relationship/marriage is genuine there shouldn't be any problems. 7-11-2018 Update: Just got an email and phone call that it has been approved! Had to make another appointment for tomorrow at the USCIS office to finish signing paperwork. | 2021-01-24

We were not given a paper for approval after the interview. We were handed a paper that the interview was completed & the case is being held for review. By the time we got home later on around 5:30pm we received a case notification from USCIS and it said his card is being produced and will be mailed to the address on file. Yay! Card in hand & valid until May 17 2020! | 2021-06-27

We arrived ahead of time and had to stand in a few lines to get processed. The person called both of us to the cubicle office and asked questions to verify my husband knew some of the information in the file. The questions were for verification purposes I feel. After that the representative told my husband he was approved for his green card and stamped his Nigerian passport with a temporary green card stamp that was good enough for a year. We received the actual green card in the mail a week later. | 2020-04-16

I am not sure if it was necessary, but figured it would keep things more organized, Her and her son have both been approved and received 10 year green cards. 2 years and 3 months, from day my wife arrived in the US. | 2018-05-17

USCIS Appointment in Houston was quick and easy, but the IO told us we'd hear in 4-6 weeks which was disappointing. But less than a week later we received the approval notice in the mail.
