Very friendly staff. 1 hr wait, 15 minute interview.
The only hangup was with miscommunication between NVC and Consulate with a police certificate which required us to travel to Vietnam to the nearest Belarus consulate.
Once we had the document, the submission was very easy and received visa 3 days later.

I was approved in November of 2021 and am now in the US and the guides on VJ, their facebook group and the Fiance and Marriage Visa book by NOLO really helped us along the way. 
To be honest, I think we over prepared for our interview since we received conflicting information about what documents and how many copies were needed for the interview. And at one point when we were trying to talk to someone to clarify what was needed, it took us a few days to actually reach someone who could answer us.
If you were to have any issues, please email SINGAPORECON @ state. gov (without spaces) to get your queries replied to in a really timely manner (within a couple hours).
Medical Check up:
Pivot Medical was highly efficient and they were able to give me an appointment that aligned with my work schedule. They were even kind enough to offer next day appointments when they first thought I had needed it ASAP. The whole check up + X-Ray + payment took about 1.5 hours even though I had taken the morning off work. The medical report was forwarded promptly to the Consulate as well and I was given a copy of my medical results via email and a physical copy of the X-Ray I took.
Embassy:
When I arrived at the Embassy, I had to show that I had an appointment to a security officer who then directed me to a waiting area at the parking lot (it's sheltered). After a short while we were allowed to approach the entrance in small groups. We went through the security check then and they were kind enough to tell me I wasn't allowed to bring a bag in for the K-1 interview but they would look after my bag and phone. They told me to bring my water bottle just in case I get thirsty waiting. Other people who were going for work permits and student visas were allowed to bring their bags with them.
I went through another security check where the officer just asked which visa I was applying for. They directed me to a room where another lady was checking documents and directing people to a relatively long but fast moving line. When she heard I was applying for a K-1 visa, she didn't check my documents but directed me to a row of chairs against a wall. I waited there and some time later my name was called and I was directed to a counter.
She was the preliminary officer who checked my documents and asked a few questions about my name, when we last met up, what was my fiancee's job. She misgendered my fiancee every time even though she had our photos and had looked through the forms. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it was an honest mistake or she was trying to catch me out. Regardless, I kept replying her with the correct gender pronoun.
I was then told to return to my seat and wait for the interview.
After a while, I was called up again and the interviewer was really friendly and personable. She apologized for mispronouncing my name and started the interview. From everything we had researched and read, I was expecting a very formal, no nonsense type of interview with possible discriminatory remarks/comments. The interview that followed was very informal, the tone more similar to a friend asking about my partner and how we met. She was very friendly and cracked a few jokes. It could've been awkward to be divulging personal details in front of so many other people waiting in another line but she made the interview comfortable.
The questions asked within conversation:
When and Where we last met up?
What is her current job? (I explained a little about her position)
How did we first meet? (and some follow-up questions about when we first met)
What is my current job?
What am I going to do when I arrive in the US?
When are we getting married? (had to explain we'd like to get married on xx day but it's not concrete since I have to apply in person with my partner)
Why that date? (explained parents preferred an "auspicious" day)
Does fiancee's family know about us?
When did we last meet again? And where?
Did you understand and read the pamphlet? (summarized it for her)
Then after the questions she congratulated me and said that I would be getting my Visa in a couple days!
I thanked her and we made a little small talk and then I left the embassy.
Once the application arrived Singapore, things moved at a really rapid pace. Appointments were scheduled within days and we thought we had at least 2 weeks to prepare the final documents but were scrambling to get them all in order. (even though the majority of documents weren't even needed)

I'm very happy that we got approved this morning, and I get a lot of info from visa journey prior to the interview, so it's my turn to contribute.
Before the interview is basicially the same, but they checked your tempreture also before you go through the security.
After entering the interview room and showing the lady my appiontment letter, i was told to seat and wait for my name to be called.
And 20 mins later, i was called to the counter 8 to provide my docs, they are my original birth cert, marriage cert and police cert, and additionally, my filled DS-5540, public charge form.The guy asked me if i have been to china for the last 14 days, and if is this the first marriage we had, do we have any kids, then i was told to go back to the seat and wait for my name to be called again for the intervierw.
15 mins later, i was called and go to the counter 7, the questions are very simple, like:
- when did you get married
- how did you meet each other
- what's your husband's job
- what is the domestic voilence pamphlet about
- what number should you call if you encounter domestic violence?
- if i registered the courier
That's bascially it, im surprised that they didnt ask anything regarding the new public charge form and my hubby's docs -such as i-864 or IRS Tax turn. The staffs and CO is very friendly also. And we entered the embassy at 840am and left at around 10am.
In the end i got approved and will get notified when the passport is ready for collection.
