Review Topic: K1 Visa

I received a letter from NVC stating that the USCIS was approve, and that they send our petition for K1-visa to Dakar, Senegal embassy/consultant. I read on the site that the consultant will contact my fiance with a letter and at that time he can scheduled an appointment for his interview. Well he never received a letter it has been over a year now since the embassy received our petition. I call spoke with someone they told they don't take calls that I much go on their site and email them, well I did, and all they said was follow instructions. I call the American embassy for Dakar, she said our case was active and that my fiance need to pay the visa fee. He did that and now they given him a choice to schedule his interview. He schedule it for April 2018. Then they email us back and said follow instruction. This what email ssid: You have successfully scheduled your appointment and paid K visa application fee. Print the instruction page and bring with you to consultant interview along with the letter or email you received from the section. The thing is he never received anything from them, or will they be sending him a letter before the interview. We are so confused. If anyone have and I'll deer what we need to do please help us we appreciate it.

Interview 3/2018

First as soon as your case is approved and you receive an NVC case number email the Dakar Embassy, simply saying you have your case number and you would like the information to schedule an Interview. You won’t get an answer, but you will get an automated response with all the information you need. They also list it on the website. Your DS-160 must be paid and the calendar will open in 2 business days, be prepared by doing your medical ASAP and have all your original documents ready. Medical is about $275 now and you will go to 3 doctors, allow one week for this, do not go to the appointment without your medical.
They do not allow phones in.
Your passport photos must be correct size and glossy.
Do not go to the front entrance, continue down the side road to where it says Consular Section.
Only have you documents and make sure you have them in an order where you can get each document as they ask for them.
First they will call people from a list, then those with a appointment confirmation letter will be allowed to enter the first line, this is the document line, if you do not have everything you will be turned away, make sure to bring your original receipt that you paid at the bank they will also ask for that.
After passing the paperwork line, you will be allowed to go to the security check line and then enter the building. You will be given a number and they will recheck your documents and then put you in the to be interviewed. Dakar has a middle aged white man and a young white lady in her twenties doing the interviews. The young lady is friendly but very thorough. She asked him my name, he gave it to her and she said what is her middle name, which he responded. She asked him where I work and what I do, he said I work at a law firm and she wanted the specific title, she asked him what he did for work, she asked had he ever been to a US Embassy before (he has, he applied for a visitor visa to visit me and was denied, she specially asked him why did he apply for a visitor visa and he gave the the same answer he gave the prior Consular to visit my fiancé). She asked him about my visits, he responded and then stated that she and the kids are here now, he passed her our passports and rental receipts, he also stated that I was outside waiting if she needed me, he said I have new pictures, she said no need, I have enough. She asked him his birthdate twice, and she repeated to him after he said I was here, she asked him she is waiting outside the Embassy right now, to which he responded yes. She basically ended the interview at that point and she said my only concern is she has been here January, what about her work, he passed her an email from my job saying I can come back as soon as I have completed my business and it was dated the prior Friday. She said you are approved but because she has been gone so long and things happen, even though she makes excellent money, I would rather be safe and have a joint sponsor. She told him how to reschedule an appointment because they don’t take walk ins for document drop off anymore, she said when she gets that she will get the Visa processed fast so the kids can get back to school. We followed her instructions and she re-opened the calendar the following day and allowed us to chose any date. She opened it on Thursday and we chose the following Tuesday because we have the documents. Beware, he was the last interview so he listened to all prior interviews. Have all of documents ready, if you don’t know an answer say you don’t know and don’t lie. Once they catch one lie, it’s over. We arrived at 7:05 for an 8 am Interview, his passport size was incorrect (his fault) and they allowed him to go to a shop at the corner to get new ones, which put him at the end of the line. All interviews were done by noon, with him being the last one. Interviews last from 5-15 minutes. It is to my understanding that the man did the Non-Immigrants and the woman did the Immigrant visas. After all Interviews were complete there were only two approvals. One immigrant, ours..... and one Non-immigrant.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband went for his interview today, and I am not sure of his status. He didn't have his medical documents when he went to the interview so we knew he would need to return to give them this information. However, during the interview the lady told him she didn't believe the marriage was real. that it was not natural for a man to have children and not be married. She also told him that she would call me that day to verify this marriage because she thought he was lying.
To date I have not heard from them to ask me anything (and I will have some stern responses, at this point deny the dang thing, but no person will attack my intergrity i don't care) He also has not been called to return with the medical documents to provide this for the package.
I really like traveling to Africa and staying in our little bubble and being with out kids, but this ignorance doesn't surprise me. I really struggle with the people in Senegal and their complete lack of respect for anyone else. The disregard for the comments they make when peoples lives are being affected are the worst. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't wish the waiting with USCIC, NVC and this last phase of the ignorance of a consulate representative on anyone!!

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Very organized but the interviewer was very vague and left my husband with no answers. He had his interview on 3/30 and was told everything was in order. He had 5 Years of messages for evidence supporting out relationship but was not asked tof show it. They used the proof I send before the interview. He was put in administrative processing then on 4/21 he was told to bring his passport and told to come back on 5/9 but told nothing else. On 5/9 he came back and picked up his passport with a visa in it
