Went in, got through security, and waited on a chair.
After 5 minutes I was called at the booth to give them my documents and to submit my fingerprints.
After another 20 minutesc I was called by the CO.
Questions: -how did you 2 meet?
-when and where's the wedding?
-where are you going to live?
-and some short questions about my other nationality.
Went smoothly, and the guy was nice.
It all took less than an hour.

Very smooth process. You wait on the other side of the road until they let you in. Go through security and then sit down until they call you to the window. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. You go up to the window and give the person the documentation that she/he requests. Make sure that the police reports are original as well as the divorce certificate if you were married before.

3 days later they return any original documentation, passport, and the packet for the immigration officer at the point of entry to USA. Don't open the packet as this is for the immigration officer at the point of entry.

The overall interaction was friendly, efficient, and smooth. Excellent experience.

As others before me , reviewed the embassy process ,everything went well . No cellphones past the security booth . In the building a romanian lady checked my papers ,then I had to wait in a room with other couples . The american CO asked me if I want to have the interview in English but because of the stress I preferred to answer in Romanian . He asked me questions in English and looked through the pictures .We had a joint sponsor and submitted I 134 for my fiancee and I - 864 for the joint sponsor .
The embassy employees were all very polite and profesional . A very good experience !

My experience was very similar to a lot of the other reviews here. Due to nerves, I got to the embassy one hour early and waited across the street until the appointed time. At 1 PM, we crossed the street and two at a time, the security guard invited us in after checking our passports in order to confirm our appointment (my DS-160 was visible but he did not check it, probably because it was in sight).

Once inside, I was given a basket to put my belongings in and my phone had to be switched off. A scan followed. Any electronics were to be kept there and picked up upon return as we were all given little slips with a number on them but bags could be carried in. (I assume they will not allow big or voluminous bags however)

Once the security check was completed, I was directed to a second, bigger building inside. Right after entry, I was called to present my documents and have my fingerprints taken then told to take a seat in the waiting area. Since I was one of the first people in, I have only had to wait between 10 and 15 minutes to be called to one of the windows (they called us by name).

The CO was very friendly and kept the conversation light, promising me that the scariest part of the interview is the oath (I was extremely anxious and nervous and it was very obvious so he kept a joking, friendly attitude which I greatly appreciated). Here is a sample of the conversation:

1.How did you meet? (For context, we met in a game)
2. What kind of game is that?
3. Why did you accept him in your clan, did you not think he seems shady? (I assume he tried to see if it was a clan specifically targeting US players but it was not the case as the clan was international. Bonus points for being funny.)
5. What did you visit when he was here?
6. What is his favorite food?
7. (He looked through my pictures of little gifts we have given each other then proceeded to ask little questions about them)
8. (He looked through my DS-160 then made little jokes about my previous workplace since my description of it was fairly straightforwardly funny)
9. Did you ever talk to his family before?

The whole interview was very relaxed and lasted about 5 minutes, if that. After that I was simply told that everything looked alright to him and that I would be able to receive my passport early next week as the stamp takes a couple days to get printed.

I have arrived 1.5h before appointment and decided to sit outside on the bench until 10:30am(my interview was scheduled on 28th August for 11:00am).

Before you enter the building, in front of the security search there will be a lady/gentleman asking for your appointment hour, passport, confirmation of interview and/or your DS160. They will guide you to the security check door.

The security check is similar to the one at the airport. All metals(belt too),phone and gadgets will be put in a tray(if you carry water with you, they will ask to take a sip to check if it is water and not something else). Once you get outside, you will see the main entrance and inside at the reception, the lady will ask again for your passport and DS160. She will stick a number on the DS and that will be your waiting number for the interview booth. The lady will guide where to go for you interview.
When you step out of the elevator, you walk left and then left again until you reach a dead end room with a few booths.

My number popped up on the screens above one of the booths as soon as I got there. The gentleman in the booth asked me for my passport, birth certificate, DS160, police certificates and W2 or any proof of my fiance’s Income. He also asked me a couple of questions, eg - if I have ever enrolled in army of if intend to do espionage 😂, and what date I will arrive in USA. The gentleman gave me my X-ray and a CD with my X-ray to keep. I need to mention he took my original documents and asked me to wait until my number will be called out again.

I probably waited for half an hour when my number was called at another booth.
The lady there asked me a few questions - how we meet, when we started the relationship, when was the last time I was my fiancé and when he proposed. Also there was questions again if I had any problems with police or involved in any crime etc. Basic security questions that you also answerd when you filled in the DS160 online. Furthemore, she asked for the copies of the originals I submitted at the first booth and gave me back the originals. After that, she basically was typing in the PC and congratulated by saying my visa was approved.

I was in and out before I knew it. While you will sit there, I am sure you will think about all the things that can go wrong, but the people working there are very fast and professional.

My visa was issued on 30th August and was good to collect on 5th September alongside with the white envelope(do not open it)which you will give to the immigration officer at your POE!
