The interview was somewhat quick. But its still took like 3 hours before I was out because of all the waiting time. After security, you go in and sit in the immigration line. Thereafter the first window lady you talk with is the one who you give all the required documents from p3 checklist to. She also asked a few questions, like when and where we met and when we started dating. Make sure to have all the right papers ready from the p3 and just hand them in the order she asks for them, then she is happy.
Then the next window is fingerprints and more questions about how and when we met, when we got in a relationship, what is his work and what we did on his trip to Denmark, I didn´t actually hand or show her any papers. And then the interview was ended by the CO saying, congratulations you are approved! :D And she handed back all original documents and evidence of the relationship.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Just a note - I am writing this on account of my wife. My wife is a Danish citizen and she had her CR-1 immigration interview in Stockholm on January 29, 2019 at 8:00am. She arrived at the embassy at about 7:30am and stood in the immigration applicant line. The embassy opens right at 8am, and she was helped immediately. She eventually got to window 7 for her interview and the consulate officer was extremely friendly. They collected her documents and told her that everything looks great, except for one thing: her Danish birth certificate didn't have a government official's signature, so she would have to procure a new one. They told her that they couldn't issue the visa right away, but if she uploads a copy of the new birth certificate to the CEAC and mails the original copy to their office, they can approve her visa application and issue it. On Feb 1st she uploaded the document to the CEAC and mailed it to the Stockholm Embassy. They sent us an email confirmation of the uploaded document via email on February 4th. On February 5th, the visa status was changed to 'ISSUED', so that must be the day they received the document in the mail. My wife received her visa package in the mail via Danish post on February 11th (she had to sign for the package). Inside were a couple of different 'welcome to the U.S.' documents as well as her passport with her visa inside. Overall, the Stockholm Embassy moved very quickly to approve the satisfied condition and issue the visa. I am flying to Copenhagen on Friday, Feb 15th and we are leaving Denmark to fly to Detroit, Michgan, USA to come home on Feb 17th.

Interview took 5 minutes. Unfortunate that a round trip ticket from Copenhagen to Stockholm was required, but at least the interview was easy with the right preparation.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I was there 08:00 and got it 15 min after.
I was the first in line and only in line at the time.
I went to all the security stuff. WOW it´s a big Embassy!!
I came inside and went to the window, at that time i was thinking "all is fine, i have all my papers"

I was then asked for:

Passport
MC
BC his and her (And there was the problem.)
Chat log
Pictures
JS AOS and financial papers
Military Papers
Waiver of old GC

As i said, BC (My bc) was the problem, i somehow left it at home, with some other papers in a "backup" folder.

So i was told to sit back down, they looked over my papers and called me back to another window.

Here i got my fingerprints taken and was asked:

Where did you meet your wife?
Why was she in Denmark?
What does she do for living?
What will you do for living?
What about your kids?

That was it.

I was then put in AP - the 221(g) and was told they need to have the BC for them to approve my case.

The last thing i was told was that i had to mail it to them and when they got my paper, they will do my passport and mail it to my in the Envelop that i addressed to my self as the first thing after handing in papers.

I got tl Stockholm a day before. I had previously decided to walk to the Embassy for my appointment at 8:30am. I stayed at the Scandic Ariadne hotel. I can highly recommend it. Very close by and great hotel. On the morning of the interview i changed my mind and grabbed a cab instead. 111 swedish kroner for a can ride and 5 min ride to the Embassy. I got there way to early. I arrived at 7:30. I got in the line with a yellow sign. Theres a red sign too looking like a buss stop. Thats not where you line up. Anyway. I was of course the only one in line at the yellow sign. 5 min after i got called up to security. They check your bags and send you off to follow a yellow line to the house where your interview takes place. I was told to walk up right away to window G. A younger man was ready to help me eventhough i was an hour early! He had a checklist, and asked for police report, BC, passport photos, my passport, and my DS-160 confirmation page. Then he asked for affidavit of support. I handed him 3 years worth of tax returns, 6 months of paystubs, letter from employee, the I-134 form. Then he asked if i had previously had a visa to the states and i replied no only Esta visits. Then he asked me how we met and why we were had decided to get married now. Then he asked for evidence. And i handed him a copy of our 129f with 200 pages of pictures and messages and boardingpasses etc. Its a small crack in the window so you have to take the papers out of your briefcase and slide them in. Then i also gave him proof of on going relationship from after we had sent out case in. In that was also two new letters of intent to marry. He then handed me a brown evelope and asked me to write my adress and name on it. He told me to sit down and i did among others waiting. 15 mins passed and i got called up to window D. Heres a new guy asking me to read an oath and took my fingerprint. He was sittng with my case and typing things into a computer. He asked me to tell him about our relationship, what we did as a couple when we were together. About all our travels ( we have seen most of europe together). And then he asked when the wedding was. And if i was aware of the parental priviliges i wouldnt have when we had a baby in the US. We chatted for a bit. And then he said: soo, you guys approve for the visa and congratulations! That it would take cirka 14 business days to recieve the visa and passport. And i had already booked a ticket home for 19th of June, but he said he couldnt guarantee that it would arrive before i had to leave for my fiance. Oops. Dumb me. But i have to see what happens. Overall a very very good experience. The interviewer was so kind and smiling and he made me feel relaxed. I think it was absolutely worth the long trip to Stockholm. Im a happy girl soon to be wife!! :-D Camilla, Copenhagen
