Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Waited 30 minutes in the waiting room. USCIS Employee called out name. We went back left our phones outside of the office. They only asked about how we met. Then they asked all the question on the I-485. Then asked if we had any other evidence. Said everything looks good. 2 Hours later USCIS Case status changed to new card ordered. 1 Hour later Website said case was approved.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I was adjusting from a K1 Visa.
The appointment was on time and did not take very long (30 minutes circa).
The lady who interviewed us was nice and tried to put us at ease. We went trough the main questions of form I-485 like names and surnames, dates of birth and addresses.
After that she asked how met and for how long we have been dating. She also casually asked about the K1 Visa's footnote which reported the voice NIE - national Interest Exemption.
She then asked us to give her whatever we had to prove that our relationship was bona fide: so I handed her pictures, life insurance, car title, lease agreements and the profile page of my husband's bank account where my name was included among the family member section (we could not create a joint bank account as his bank needed my SSN for which I am still waiting).
She noted everything on a piece of paper attached to our case folder and that's it.
She said she recommended approval and told... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

On time, cheerful agent. Started with i130 questions, then questions about the relationship. Moved on to i485 standard questions. Not a lot of personal/relationship questions. Asked about extra evidence of bona fide marriage, said utilities bills on only name, joint account statement with few transactions and lack of extra financial mingling wasn't good enough. (There was 400 pages in the process total with plenty of evidence, anyways!) Kept extra pictures and gave a spiel about not sure if we really lived together but also explained ROC and citizenship process which kinda gave it away it could be that bad.

Didn't approved on the spot, was told it was going for "review" because the evidence "was slim". Well. After leaving the buidling the online account changed status of the i485 to "new card being produced" so just empty talk, maybe to see how we would react? Anyway, here's to two years of no immigration processes!
