Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Everyone was courteous, even though my husband complained about the tsa style security guards 🤣
Wait time was just a little over our scheduled time. Adjudication Immigration Officer (AIO) was courteous, was very thorough in optimal time and also stopped for small talk without losing pace on her questions. I don’t think the interview took more than 15 minutes tops. Thanked us for coming and stated decision might take up to 3 weeks to be completed. We were approved that same night and got the approval letters and GC a week after the interview.

Brooklyn Field Office, 8th fl at 26 Federal Plaza. We were treated very cordially, from the security spot all the way to the waiting room, everyone was nice, security guard, people at the window and our adjudication officer was very nice, in a very short time was extremely thorough and place was nice and clean. Ac could have been a little lower tho cause it was hot outside

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

On 9/24, my husband and I arrived at 11:15 am for our 12 noon interview. We went through the security check point then handed in the appointment letter along with my ID.
The waiting room was pretty empty, so we figured my name would have been called quickly. Before 12 noon, many couples and other applicants started to fill the seats. Several persons who came after us were called before us, and we started to get a bit impatient. javascript:emoticon('')

My name was called at ~12:50 pm, and we followed the officer to the interview room. She swore us in and asked us to sit. My picture was taken, fingerprint processed.

My husband and I were asked for our passports and my birth certificate. She asked my husband most of the questions, such as his name and basic biographic info. He also had to give the officer details about the timeline of our relationship. They spoke mostly about his job and about her husband and kids, lol

Review Topic: General Review

interviewer was nice/ She asked alot of personal questions in a chatting format. She did scold my husband for forgetting to file jointly but quickly moved on. We had joint property title etc. She was really interested in how we met ( we met playing games in college) and told us that we were basically approved on paper. She had to do the interview for process and we are approved.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Appointment was 935am, we got there about 9am and got to the waiting area around 915am. We started our interview about 9:50am so not a long wait. Interview was about 45 mins overall.

The interview started off kind of weird and rocky. The IO asked my wife (the USC) the following questions that she had trouble with and made her nervous:

- How did I receive my current naturalized citizenship? (This was 15 years before I met her)
- Which firm petitioned for me for an H-1B? (this was 8 years before I met her)
- When you guys traveled together last year, what visa did your husband use? (My wife doesn't know the formal name of EAD)
- What was the exact day of your husband's last time he re-entered the country? (Hard to remember a specific day 8 months ago)
- Who wrote and filed this application? (she said "he did" to which I corrected her and said "together")
- Does your husband have a previous wife and/or kids? (asked a versio... read complete review
