I chose to stay at the Thistle - Terminal 5 Heathrow for some sweet runway views before my appointment in the morning.
I arrived to the embassy at around 8:45am and sat around admiring the views before taking a stroll down to the South Pavilion visa services booth at around 9:10am - my appointment was at 9:30am, and I was directed straight into security where I was asked to put all of my belongings into a tray so they could be x-ray'd and I also had to take a sip of the drink I had with me.
Once through security, I walked up through the courtyard and waited in-line with the rest of the 9:30am appointments. After the line started moving, I got my DS-160 stickered and I was directed to Level 1, and then to walk to the left, down to the end of the hall, and then left again. There is a small waiting area with 4 booths for immigrant visas.
My number was above a booth as I was walking into the waiting area. I was greeted by a man who asked for my ... read complete review

My husband was found to be inadmissible for past criminal activities (3 small offenses more than 38 years ago but more than two) and filed a 601 waiver on March 12, 2018. I flew to London for the interview with him, although our lawyer said that I would not be able to attend with him. The new embassy was very efficient. I submitted a request ahead of time to attend with him, and they had my name on the list at the entrance. We waited approximately 45 minutes. The immigration officer was efficient as well and was almost apologetic when giving us the bad news. It's now February of 2019, and hopefully we'll be hearing good news with an approval attached soon.

So...Sadly my experience was not as pleasant or rewarding at the others here. We turned up 15mins early, went through security, jumped the queues as instructed and sat in the waiting area on the first floor for the number to be called.
The first window the lady asked for originals of birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport and photos. I provided all of those. She was absolutely wonderful. Kind, calming and we even had a giggle about a few things. It was all looking very promising until we got to the second window.
At the second window I was met by a very bruske, stern, cold woman. Who did not want to chat, talked over me, completed the oath, had fingerprints taken and was then refused because she couldn't find the uploads of my name change documents. So she handed me back the originals of them and said I had to send them back in as additional evidence was required. I tried to explain they were definitely uploaded to CEAC (I've since confirmed th... read complete review

Hi Guys
Nothing mutch to say the reviewers before said everything I had my interview today it was all well managed and yes I was a bit nervous but there is no need for being stressed out! The whole process took about 30 mins the first window will collect all your documents ... make sure you have the originals! No copies needed for K1 visa! the second window a visa officer will have the final check and will give you the okay! 3-4 simple questions thats it. I got my okay today very happy ... well I forgot an original document though which I can send them via post. All good guys no stress! I do had a special case!! We both live in the UK so my US partner actually never really lived in the US as an adult we decided to move now to CA. However the internet is full of scary stories for this kind of situation ... I mean I was bringing them everything we possibly could payslips etc tehy never looked at any only the I-134 from my partner that´s it ... I have to say we have a bi... read complete review

My fiance just gave me his experience and since he doesn't use this site I'll relay for him.
When he first got there they asked for his ds160 and they put a sticker on it and gave it back to him. He went into the first room and there were to lines with a woman at the end letting people know where to go. He went upstairs to his correct area. He said it was an open floor plan with two windows. They called his number and the first man took his fingerprints and asked when he was coming to the US. Asked for police certificate, affidavit of support, ds160, passport, his birth certificate, and one American passport photo. The man at the first window gave him his x-ray photo. The second window he went to the lady was very stern and asked him if he had ever worked in the US, had any other visas, if he had ever been arrested, when was he last in the US, when did he leave, and if he had ever been married/divorced before. She took a second set of finger prints. And said your visa sho... read complete review
