My appointment was June 18th @ 11:30am. I arrived at 11:15am and showed my DS160 and passport and they sent me through to security which is the same as in an airport. Then you exit through some (extremely heavy) doors and this is where you are meant to find the queues. However they were none existent and i was the only person there! However there are two lanes on the right and one on the left which is specifically for US Citizen Services so when there are queues you can use this left lane to skip it. Once through you will take the elevator to level one. Then left out of the elevator and follow it left around the corner to a smaller waiting area and wait for your number to be called. It took about 40 minutes for my number to be called and I was asked for the following documents: DS160, Passport, Confirmation of payment for the interview, birth certificate, 1 x US passport pic, affidavit of support and letter of employment. I had tons of additional evidence and nothing else was asked for... read complete review

Does my husband need to wear a suit to his embassy interview tomorrow? What is appropriate attire considering it’s a 4hr train journey?

My Fiance's experience aligns well with what has been mentioned previously. She was in and out in 35 minutes with approval in hand. My (petitioner) mother was co-sponsor, as I am in between jobs. They had very few questions in regards to this and did not ask for any evidence what so ever. Great experience overall!

The interview was super quick. The officer was so friendly. It was a completely smooth process and not at all what my fiancé expected. He’s raving about how friendly everyone was and how quick the interview was!!! Super happy!!

I had my interview for my K1 visa on October 8th, 2018.
Overall, the Interview process went very smoothly. We were a few minutes late due to train delays and the line outside the consulate, they were a bit slow getting everyone in so I would recommend arriving about 20-30 minutes before your interview time, even though they say not to come more than 15 minutes early. They allowed me to bring my USC fiance into the consulate with me and at one point asked her to come up to the window during the interview where they asked us both a few questions about how we met, her school in the UK and our apartment situation together here, why we wanted to move back to the US etc. This part honestly felt more like a casual conversation than an interview. I felt as though they took a lot of the nervousness and fear I had going into the interview and just packed it away.
We waited about 15 minutes for the interview but the interview itself took around 5 minutes. He was ver... read complete review
