Arrived at the embassy this morning at 7.10 am. There was already a queue of about 10 people ahead of me. By 7.40 am the queue was so long! We were also asked to form separate lines for 8am, 8.30 am and immigrant visas. I was second in line for immigrant visas. They checked my passport and my interview letter only.

Went through security (much like airport security) at 8am. Received my number I902 and was immediately called to a window. The nice lady only asked for my passport, photos and interview letter. Fingers printed and informed me i need to pa for courier service after my interview.

Just before 9am i was called to another window for my interview. She just asked me where i met my husband, as i met him on an online rpg she also asked me when we first met. What he did for a living, what i did for a living. Then she asked me where he was born and she actually answered for me! Since she lived there too. I did mention to her i was probably supposed to ans... read complete review

Pretty easy all in - arrived 30 mins before it opened and was through to the front of the queue about 45 mins later. Went in and was assigned my number as the eleventh "I" number for the day. I waited for about 45 mins again before I was called to a preliminary desk where I simply had to hand over some of the paperwork I was asked to bring, and show proof I had paid the courier fee etc. I then sat down for another 45 mins and was called to a window where a guy asked me questions about my application to verify the information there. He also wanted to see both of our divorce certificates from previous marriageand struggled to find them in the application pack. As I found them in my copy of the pack, he also found them in his, so definitely worth taking a copy of your pack just in case! After about 10 minutes, he said that my application was approved and I was free to go!

Hi all,

Figured I'd leave a quick review of London embassy.

I arrived yesterday (2nd of February 2015) and stayed in the hilton Hyde park. This is about a 20 minute walk to the embassy through Hyde park. I decided to wake up at around 6am, take a shower and have a quick breakfast before going to walk to the embassy. However it was snowing pretty bad this morning, so decided to take a taxi. The taxi was about 7GBP.
I arrived at the embassy at 7.10am and there were about 20 others already in the line front of me,
At 7.45 the embassy employees started setting up some quick desks and a tent because if the weather and then divided us into 2 separate lines, one for immigrant visa (YES your K-1 is classified as an immigrant visa at this point.) and one for non-immigrant (which was a significant longer queue). That said, I was the 2nd person through.
The kind girl checked my appointment letter and passport and sent me to the security booth e... read complete review

The longest process is actually getting into the building via security. Once in, the process is very efficient and organised.

My interview was at 9 but I arrived at 6:30 and I was the 2nd person there.
At 7:30 we were put in a line and then split into 8am and 9am lines.
It began to rain pretty badly and we were handed umbrellas.

I was eventually moved into the early line but everything was very rushed and confusing, and staff seemed to be very poorly managed. Even though it was raining, we were asked to remove our documents out of protective casing and unfortunately my DS-160 got drenched. I thought this was stupid, and the staff outside were extremely rude to a French gentleman in front of me who didn't speak very good English.

I was then told that my appointment was wrong, and then a few moments later was told she found it, and was again rushed into another line. Next I was told to leave my umbrella in a bin (again rushed which was ridiculous considering I had to put my documents away to protect them from the rain.

Next I was sent through security... read complete review
