A long day of waiting around in a big DMV like hall, we were called twice over the space of three hours and dealt with two very nice guys who went through all our paperwork with us.

It was a pretty easy process. Arrived about 45mins early and was finished in an hour. Very nice people dealing with both pieces.

In the run-up to the interview I was extremely nervous to the point where I became physically sick. Because my husband has been denied indefinitely for a UK visa, this was pretty much our only hope to be together. So I felt a lot of pressure.

I was waiting for my fiance to receive the visa so we could review the 221g process, since the actual interview experience was quick and painless and the same as the previous hundred reviews of the London Embassy, LOL.
I highly recommend choosing "depot" instead of delivery for your visa- seems like delivery causes an ambivalent 2-3 day delay and the delivery times are very random. Depot was much easier- fiance drove out first thing in the morning and was able to pick up his visa.
TIMELINE FOR 221G
Nov 17: Interview; 221g received (his birth cert was a copy, not the original)
Nov 18: Ordered replacement BC (too late in the day for it to ship). CEAC status still says "Ready for Interview"
Nov 21: BC order processed (ordered from GRO, begin process here >> https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate <<
Nov 23rd: BC received around noon... read complete review
