Hi all,
My fiancé had his interview at the embassy today and I was able to join (note- If you are the US fiancé, make sure to bring your passport to be able to get into the embassy).
His appointment was at 10:30am and we arrived around 9:45. We weren't expecting to be let in but they checked us in and we were told to go through security and into the building to line up. We waited in a line with other visa applicants for probably about 20 or 25 minutes which really wasn't too bad. They they pulled K-1 visa applicants out of the line, checked us in and gave us our number. We were told to go up to the first floor and go to the last 5 windows. We sat in the area around the corner from the regular visa sections and it was all K visa applicants. We met a lovely couple who were also waiting and another man who was waiting as well. We probably sat down for about 5 minutes when fiancé was called up to the first window to hand all of his paperwork in. ... read complete review

My husband and I were super thorough in putting together ALL the paperwork needed for the interview (which came in very handy!!) We even in put in a couple of documents that were sent in the initial pack but were not requested for the interview. Better safe than sorry. I spent 10 mins with the first guy going through all my paperwork, then waited for another 20 mins before I saw next officer. I was with her for about 5 mins, she asked me one question - how did I meet my husband and then one more question - when did we expect to go to the States and that was that! I was approved in under 5 mins. javascript:emoticon(' ')

Had my interview today, and this as by far the easiest bit.
My appointment was at 11am but they allowed me in at 10:15am. No queues, went straight through security and headed upstairs to wait for my number to be called. I waited no more than 5 minutes when i was called to the first window.
I was asked for passport, 1 photo, birth certificate , police certificate, i134, letter from fiancées employer and payslips. They handed me back my x-ray ( i had my medical 10 days prior). I was told to sit back down and wait for my interview.
Called up 5 minutes later to a lovely woman who asked me three questions.
Where does my fiancée live?
Will i live there too?
How did we meet?
And that was it! She said i was approved. I was out by 11am!

My husband's DS-260 (CR-1) application was approved at the new Embassy in London on 23 May. We found the experience to be totally straightforward, in line with previous reviews, all of which were very comprehensive. So rather than repeat what has already been said, here are a few things that we learned, or didn't know going in:
- Knightsbridge Medical are the slowest part of the London visa process. We left 7 clear business days between medical and the appointment and the report was only sent to the Embassy the day before our interview. The Embassy staff were unfazed by this and said that the visa was approved pending the medical report, but it is still caused frustration and a seemingly unnecessary delay.
- Spouses can in fact join you at the Embassy for your interview but they must bring their passport, and will be asked to show this before entering the Embassy along with the confirmation letter
- There is a small queue before security and... read complete review

This is quite a long one, so I'l start with the tl;dr version:
Getting there was easy, security was no problem, a bit of waiting around. Gave all that they asked, paid for my visa, waited some more, then had my interview. Wasn't asked very many questions. All looked good apart from them not having my latest letter of intent, since my petition expired they couldn't process there and then. Sent it to them again and now waiting to see if I've been accepted.
Having only needed to come up from Southampton, I had an easy experience getting up to the embassy in time for my interview. I got the train around 7:45 and arrived at Vauxhall Station at about 9:30. I don't know where the embassy used to be based, but I was glad for my visit it was straightforward to get to. I went down the steps and exited the station by going right. I consulted Google Maps on my phone to confirm where I needed to walk and, again, it was pretty direct. A left from where I was standing, g... read complete review
