My fiancee stayed at a hotel close to the Consulate as we were worried about flooding. This worked well as she had time to focus and relax on the interview without being in her normally noisy household. Her appointment was at 8 am so she showed up at the Consulate around 6 am. Her medical envelop had become almost totally unsealed at this point so she stopped at 7-Eleven for glue on the way. I tried to dissuade her from tampering with it in any way, but had to submit to telling her to use her best judgement. Obviously, it worked out but I am still not sure resealing the envelope was a good idea or not. After entering the Consulate she submitted her paperwork which seemed quick and uneventful. Then she sat down and waited for her appointment. There was one person before her who was denied her Visa as it seemed like the woman did not understand what was going on. There seemed to be a lot of frustration on both sides of the glass. My Fiancee was interviewed at window 5 and she s... read complete review

We had a 1:00pm appointment for the interview. My Fiance was told by our law firm ‘mythaifiancee’ to arrive at 07:00am to drop off the paperwork. This was a hassle and I wound up putting her up in a hotel close to the Embassy so she could go back and rest after dropping it off.
The benefit of this though was that she was first up at 1:00pm. The lady that interviewed here smiled and was very friendly. She spoke softly and my fiancé did have a difficult time understanding her on several questions. When she did not hear clearly the interviewer repeated in Thai and my fiancé answered in English.
Some of the questions:
What is your fiancé’s name
where does he live?
How many times has he visited you
What do your parents think of him?
Have you ever spoken to his parents?
Does he have any siblings? (my fiancé did not know this word, but when she explained in Thai my fiance answered correctly)
That’s all I have f... read complete review

My wife went alone to the interview as I returned to the U.S. 2 months ago, so everything I know is from what she told me. She was the 2nd interview of the day, and it began at 10:10 and finished at 10:30. The interviewer went through some of the normal questions: How did you two meet? When do you plan to go to the U.S.? etc. Then came a bit of confusion as the interviewer started to ask why my wife's name was slightly different from her birth certificate to her national I.D. There is one small difference between the two and it was a Thai government mistake, which we thought we had rectified because we had a translated explanation from the Thai government. The lady said my wife needed to have an AR-14? I think. Well the lady ended up just working past this and continued on with the interview, and said my wife will be approved. My wife came back a few days later and picked up her visa. My said the lady was not very friendly and other than the questions about the AR-14 barely bothered to... read complete review
