Pretty well organized, my wife showed up at 7:00 AM and stood in line outside. She was told to turn off her phone. She went in and was grouped with a couple of other Thai fiances one of which left crying because she didn't have all of her paper work in order. We hired G.A.M legal alliance to make sure our packet 3 & 4 were all set at a cost of about 25,000 baht. The interview was done partly in English and partly in Thai because that's just how it went ... the guy was very laid back. The questions asked were very generic like where do you plan to live, what is the purpose of you seeking the K-1 visa, what kind of work does your fiance do. It's a nerve racking process but it's nothing to be scared of, this embassy is very good!

The interview appointment was set for 9am. I arrived at 7am and was allowed to enter the Embassy to wait in a seated area for the interview. The longest part was the wait for the interview, which was about 3 hours.
The interview itself was very smooth and good. My husband and I went over the pre-interview checklist three times to ensure we had all of our documentation in order, which really helped during the interview.

10 months after applying for K-1, my Thai fiancée had her interview today. Despite the many positive reviews here, she was very nervous, having heard horror stories, particularly on YouTube. So a reality check may help others. It's really not too scary.
Her interview was scheduled for 8am. We arrived at 7:30am. After a 5 minute wait in the outside line, she was admitted. At that point, I went to a nearby coffee shop that would be our rendevous point.
She made it back there about 9:15 am, all smiles. Despite not having her 'original' death certificate for her late husband, they approved the visa, subject to receiving that document by mail, and said it would take about a week after that.
The consulate staff was courteous and friendly. The interviews she saw (and hers) were brief, and at the counter window, not in an inner room. She was asked just a few questions (possibly because we had provided ample proof of relationship and support in p... read complete review
