I had my interview appointment scheduled for the 25th of July at 3pm. My fiancee urged me to get an extra early train so i would have plenty of time to pick up the medical exam results from the clinic before the appointment. At about 12:15pm, after picking up the results, i was standing outside the clinic double-checking the estimated walking time to the Embassy, when i noticed that Google Maps stated that the Embassy would be closing at 1pm that day(two hours before my scheduled appointment!) I tried to call the Embassy right away, but there was no possible way to get someone on the line through the automated system so i gave up on that and decided to walk there to ask them what the deal was.

I arrived at the Embassy at about 12:45, where i explained the situation to the security guards and they told me that it would close at 2:45pm and to be back at the entrance at 2pm instead. I went to grab a coffee and some food across the street and returned at 1:45pm to find a que... read complete review

THe experience was quite good and smooth.

I arrived 20 min before, I broke my collarbone two weeks ago and they helped me. I left my suitcase and mobile phone.

They gave me a number and waited for 40 min and they called me to request the passport and medical exam. She gave me the xray stamp and told me I can't open until I arrive to the US and give it to the border official.

Then I had to wait for another 40 min and another lady called me, she asked what happened to my collarbone and to promise everything under my application was true.

She asked how and when I met my fiancée and that's it. 1 min interview, she told me my application was perfect and congratulate me.

✌️

My interview experience in Madrid couldn't be better. I arrived outside and on account of me having crutches, I skipped the outside queue and went directly to the check-in desk where they took my passport briefly and gave it back with two labels and a ticket with a number. Once on the waiting area, I had to wait for about 35 minutes before I was called into a window.
The very nice lady spoke Spanish and asked for my passport, medical examination and envelope with the X-RAY. She proceeded to take a look at the medical examination and stapled it to my file. She then told me to wait to be called for the interview.

I waited for around 45 minutes and I was called to a different window with a different lady. She was also very nice. She asked me why I was in crutches and was happy to hear that I didn't have much longer. She asked me to swear that everything I was going to say was true and started the interview.

The first question was about how and when we... read complete review

I had my interview around 11:30 so I decided to go a bit in advance. When I arrive (around 11:00) the waiting room was completely full and the lady in the desk told me there were a lot of people before me. I waited until 12:15 until they allowed me to go inside the room and then waited over there for other 15 minutes. After it they took the original copies and the tax transcript for 2018. The interview took about 5 minutes and the only question was 'Tell me about your wife'. After it they said I was approved and that the password would arrive in 4 to 6 working days.

Some tips:

- You cannot bring any backpack to the interview, they won't allow you the entry to the Embassy. Also they keep your mobile phone in the entry with the security (they were super nice).
- Expect a lot of people. It doesn't matter if you are doing the interview for the spouse visa since the consular officers are the same ones that do the paper work for the rest of visas.
