Ask specifically for 3 yrs. of W-2 Income Tax Return and the I-134 form. The consul was very glad to see that all of our paperworks were complete that he thought we had an immigration attorney assisting us. He never knew that we all got the ideas here in Visa Journey.

My husband and daughter were in line by 5:30 am; they were accompanied by my dad, also a USC. They didn\'t have to wait for long to be interviewed by the pre-screener. The typical questions asked:

1. Are you the beneiciary?
2. When is your birthday?
3. Who is your petitioner?
4. When is her birthday?
5. Where is your daughter?
*At this time, my daughter was pulling my husband\'s and wanted to go to the waiting area because DORA the Explorer was on.
6. Do you have any pictures ready?

So they waited for a little bit, around 20 minutes or so. Then they were up for the consul\'s interview. The questions were:

1. When did you get married?
2. Was it a Church wedding?
3. When is your wife\'s birthday? birthplace?
4. What is her job?
5. Do you have pictures?
*The pre-screener took the ones that were printed on copy paper, but my husband had a couple more. He handed over a... read complete review

The lady CO was pleasant. That is the best that can be said. And she did admit her mistake in the end and fixed it, so I suppose that is worth mentioning.

Unfortunately, she was also incompetent, and therefore caused us quite a bit of stress, consternation, and money. During my spouse's St Lukes Medical interview, she admitted to something that would prevent her from being admitted to the US IF SHE WAS AN ADULT when it occurred. She was not. She was a minor, and it occurred over 10 years ago, incidentally. The CO incorrectly denied our petition for a visa based upon this incident.

I was still overseas in a third country when i got the news of the denial and spent like a week of not sleeping well and doing some legal research that included consulting with an Immigration attorney via the phone and email. She recommended we file a waiver which would have taken a very long time, cost a lot of money, and opened up all kinds of more bureaucratic crapola.

Overall it turned out good because we got APPROVED! The only thing is going over there early in the morning. (it was raining and we caught a cab from across the street lol!). Lots of people trying to get in, if you don't stand your ground they will go around (and in front) of you... Have your papers ready, you will have to show your appointment confirmation to get in. After you get in you will have to sign-in and wait for your turn. Interview was pretty quick (probably five minutes or so), pay a few fees and get out.

The interview was fairly simple and straightforward, no big surprises. Arrived at 5:30 and was finished by 9:30. The pre-screener and the CO were both very polite and personable.

Reading the lists of possible interview questions here on VJ helped. A few days before the interview, we received a new email appointment confirmation that said the new DS-160 form was required, so we completed that, but they still wanted all the old forms as well (DS-156, 156K. 157). Just make sure to be very prepared - have multiple copies of all the required documentation, lots of extra evidence (photos, etc.), and be ready for any questions.
