7:00AM - Scheduled Interview Time
6:03AM - At the queue outside the US Embassy
They've began letting people in as early as 5:30AM according to some, so when I got there, there were already a lot of people inside and the queue was not that long.
I was feeling cold earlier though & it dries my skin so I brought a big bottle of lotion, forgetting that I shouldn't bring liquids, so I had to hide it in the bushes outside (and it wasn't there anymore when I got out).
After the appointment check outside, and the security check by the door, I went straight to the Immigration Section and got into another queue, this time to get my ticket stub or my number for the queues. They got my DS forms, appointment letter, and the BDO receipt. My ticket stub was stamped 6:25AM.
The long waiting started after that. I couldn't read novels or do anything else, lest I miss the numbers going through the electronic boards quickly and not... read complete review

Her interview was on September 1st, 2010 and she was told that she was approved. She had a minor correction to have made on her NBI document. She had the error corrected and returned it the next day. We waited and waited and checked AIR 21 many times daily to see when her visa would be delivered.
I arrived there on September 26th, 2010 and we still had no visa delivery. On Monday September 27th, 2010 we went to the Embassy and stayed there until we received it. It took a few hours but it was a success.
It took us 27 days to get the Visa in hand.

Consulate staff was direct & to the point. They did not ask any trick questions. They mainly asked simple questions that pertained to items in the application: When and where did you meet?; What is your fiance's occupation?; How many times had I visited in the U.S. and what was the longest period of time that I stayed in the U.S.?
My appointment started on time. It was scheduled for 7 AM and they kept me moving through the various lines. I was done by 10 AM. It helps to have all your paperwork organized and ready when they ask for it. But there is no need to be nervous about the interview. Don't bring your cell phone onto the grounds of the embassy.
