Interview date: January 28, 2011
Interview time: 6:30 am
VISA APPROVED: 9:00 am

My Fiance had a 6:30 am appointment for his interview. He stayed at Casa Bocobo Hotel so the Embassy was only blocks away. He was up at 5:00 am and left at 5:30 am. He said that the pre interview took longer than the his actual with the consul. For his pre interview it was a Filipina lady, she asked for his NBI, Birth Certificate, CENOMAR, evidence of relationship and evidence of support. She asked questions like "How did you meet?" "What do you do for a living?". After that the Filipina lady told him to sit back and wait for his number to be called. 20 minutes later his number flash and he was on his way to his actual interview. It was an African American consul and he said that he looked intimidating. My fiance sat down with confidence and within 5 minutes the Consul approved his Visa! The only question that was asked was to see our pictures.

I came for interview before 8. Everyone is sitting outside and waiting. The security guards are walking around and I greeted them all, Good Morning! :D
I fall in line for security check and it took atleast 5 minutes. Then I walk to the embassy office. I took a no. and it's lucky #008, the time is 8:11 and the date is 01-18-11. I'm just amazed with all the no. combinations. And guess what? The first counter who took all my forms and documents is No.8! Sound crazy! Isn't it? The first officer is quite serious and not smiling at all. Maybe just being professional. I was then called at window #11 for electronic finger printing. The guy here is very polite and friendly. And lastly, I was called at window #2 for interview. The girl was very nice. She asked me to raise my right and promised to tell the truth to all her questions. She asked me the following questions:
What's your name?
Who is (the name of fiance)?
Where did you meet? Tell me about.
Whats the... read complete review

My interview went very quickly. I have schedule of 830AM at the US embassy. I was thinking what the heck, I will be there as early as 4AM! And by all means I am the first one there. I talked to the security guard and the told me that they wont allow applicants til 530AM. We made a deal that even though I am at the 830AM schedule, he will let me in early. So mom and I ended up hanging out at Yellow cab and getting “cappuccino” at 7-11 (haha) and went back at 530AM. There are already more than a dozen people ahead of me but all of them have the 630AM schedule. The guard still let me in so I am feeling great that I am the first one in the 830AM slot. We were ushered inside at promptly 615AM and I fell in line to get a number – I was number 6007! Meaning I am the #7th on the Immigrant visa line! wootwoot! I went to submit the rest of the documents, got my fingerprints scanned. I have to wait for about 2 hours before the consul interview and they called me at 810AM and I ... read complete review
