My interview went very quickly. I have schedule of 830AM at the US embassy. I was thinking what the heck, I will be there as early as 4AM! And by all means I am the first one there. I talked to the security guard and the told me that they wont allow applicants til 530AM. We made a deal that even though I am at the 830AM schedule, he will let me in early. So mom and I ended up hanging out at Yellow cab and getting “cappuccino” at 7-11 (haha) and went back at 530AM. There are already more than a dozen people ahead of me but all of them have the 630AM schedule. The guard still let me in so I am feeling great that I am the first one in the 830AM slot. We were ushered inside at promptly 615AM and I fell in line to get a number – I was number 6007! Meaning I am the #7th on the Immigrant visa line! wootwoot! I went to submit the rest of the documents, got my fingerprints scanned. I have to wait for about 2 hours before the consul interview and they called me at 810AM and I am the first one to get interviewed on the immigrant visa applicants! 20 minutes earlier than my schedule! I was in and out of there in less then 5 minutes! The moment that he said, “OK, Mrs. Herron, your visa is approved! Congratulations, you are now to proceed to window Y to pay for the courier of your passport & visa.” OMG I thought a ton was lifted off my shoulders! I am going to be with my pudding!! Thank God! It took awhile to make the necessary courier payment coz window Y opened late. I was out of the embassy at exactly 9AM and the next thing I know I was tapping my mom’s shoulder at Starbucks and giving her a hug! Gosh it felt so good to walk out of there with that pink slip!

My parents are the best that I could ask for. They have been there for me this whole time and my mom even went with me to the interview and waited for almost 4 hours outside just so I could have company right after.

Okay before I end this note – here are some of the stuff that the American Consul asked me. I thought they are going to ask about my husband’s taxes (ITR) coz I have no clue on how the US tax system works (I think no one does haha). I am happy about the turnout.
