Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My interview was scheduled at 8:30am of July 14, 2011. I went to bed at 9pm and set my alarm at 4am but can't sleep. hehe. Woke up at 2am, went online to see if hubby was already at home. Chatted with hubby for awhile and went to shower at almost 4am. Had my breakfast at the hotel at 6am and went to the embassy at 6:30am. There were hundreds of people already waiting and I thought I have to wait til they call those people who have appointment at 8:30. I was wrong. As soon as I got there, all I did was to fall in line under immigrant visa and they let me enter the premises ahead of my scheduled time. That being said, I guess it's best to go there as early as you can if you want to be done early too. Before entering the embassy, I was asked to show them my appointment letter and my passport. Went through the first security check and after that, I was asked to fall in line to get my number (I got 6074). They asked for my interview letter, handed me the 2go form and my number, and instruct... read complete review

today was a superb!

woke up by 3.00am cuz i am that excited. arrived at the embassy by 6am. pre-interviewed by past 8, finished by 9.30 am

the first step which was the pre-screen/pre-interview was the only step that took me to wait for 2 hours or more. after that everything went smoothly.

was pre-screened by a nice young Filipina. and she actually took time to look at pur photos yey!

after a couple of minutes went to do biometric finger printing.

then the final interview:

she is a nice, curls and blond american woman. she was very nice although i got confused with the year that she was asking me. i kept on thinking that its still 2010 so last year was 2009. maybe because im unconsciously nervous. i thought she was gonna deny me hehe.she didn't. aside from that ive answered all the questions correctly (because thats what its supposed to be because what she's asking for are all about me and my fi... read complete review

i arrived at the embassy at 6:30 already. The waiting was long but the entire interview process was very short. The questions that were asked to me were the ff:

Pre-screener:
1. What is your name?
2. What is your birth date?
3. Who petitioned you?
4. Who is ?
5. How long have you known him?
6. How did you meet?
7. A follow up question to #6.

Finger-printing:
1 What is your name and birthdate?

Final Interview (the CO who interviewed me was a young american woman She was very nice)
1. What is your name?
2. Who is your petitioner?
3. Where did you meet?
4. Follow up question to #3

Then she told me that visa is approved and reminded me to marry my fiance within 90 days. The Prescreener and CO did not bother to look at our pictures and communication logs.

Interview went smoothly for my wife for her CR Visa. I was able to go with her. We got to the embassy before 6, lined up, entered inside. It was a nice waiting area and that's what we did...wait. First for her fingerprint. Then wait. Next the first interview with Filipino woman. Didn't asked much. Where did we meet? How many times and for how long has my wife been to the US? How many times have I been to the Philippines? When did we get married? Then she asked if we had pictures and we held up 3 books of pictures, she laughed and said that was fine and didn't even look at them. Then wait again. Final interview with white guy who asked us barely even anything, just looked at me and seemed happy I came too and that was proof enough. Then he said congratulations, told us to wait again to hand over the 2GO slip that was it! Out by sometime after 10. It took long to get here but it was worth it. Now, we wait for the visa, she goes to the CFO seminar and we plan to leave in... read complete review
