This is late in coming but we have been very busy since my fiancee\'s appointment.
NOA submitted 3/10/11
NOA 1 received 5/26/11
NVC approval sent to Manila 6/14/11
USEM letter lost I called USEM on 6/30/11 I was told she can schedule an appointment.
I schedule her medical for 7/8/11 I also schedule her USEM interview for 6:45 am on 7/25/11
She passed the medical and picked medical documents on 7/11/11
I fly in and meet her in Manila on 7/24/11 to go to the appointment with her We stayed at the Bayview Park Hotel which is right across the street from the Embassy
We wake up the next morning around 4:30 am get dressed and at 5:10 am walk across the street to the Embassy there was a line already so we asked the guard where to line up. My fiance was confused so I asked again and we stood in line inside a small block barrier
6:00 am the line starts moving to go into the Embassy
We get inside the Embassy and received our ticket 7021 and then we proceed to window 39 to drop off our paper work then we waited for about 40 minutes her number flashed on the board to go to window number 40 for finger prints
We waited for another 50 minutes and then her number flashed on the board for her first interview with a filipino gentlemen at window 47
He check her papers and asked the usual questions how we met, was she or I married before, do we have children, do we have pictures together he looked at them, when do we plan on leave the Philippines and when will we marry, He asked me about my job and how long I worked there, and how many time had I visited her. He was shock that I had visited her four time in less than six months. He asked for my tax returns and then told us to wait for her number to flash on the board again
We waited for about an hour then her number flashed on the board go to window 60 there we spoke with a young American Consulor woman she asked a few question looked over the papers and then asked when we were planning on getting married and said you are approved wait for your number to be called at window 72
about 20 mins later we were done now my time frame maybe a little off but we left the Embassy at about 10:45 am

Here is what I think is important for people to know when going through this process.
1. Relax if you are telling the truth and you have your paperwork in order you will get approved.
2. Have all of your paper work in order because you will not even get into the Embassy without the correct paperwork they pre-screen you outside first to make sure you have the documents. Your forms DS 156 2 copies, 156k 1 copy but I made two of everything 157 2 copies, NBI, birth certificate, CENOMAR, passport, police clearance if you lived outside of the Philippines before, your appointment letter, I134 form, your medical exam results, and your receipt of payment to BPI bank.
3. Support ducumentation pictures, tax return, receipts, and anyother proof you may have of a relationship.
4. Relax again and make sure that you are organized before you get to the Embassy.
5. The applicant must take a Visa Seminar/CFO beofre they leave I suggest doing it the same day as your appointment you can take it and then go back for your CFO certificate and sticker when you get your Visa they will not let you leave without getting this done first.
6. Most importantly if at all possible fly to the Philippines and be there with your fiance because I can tell you that there were several men there with their fiancee\'s and it was priceless and all where approved and things went through very smoothly.

I hope this helps
Good Luck to all
