Overall, I spent 6 hours at the embassy. The first 3 hours was spent on fingerprinting and pre-interview. The last 3 was mostly about waiting for the final interview.
I arrived at the embassy at 6:20 am for my 630 interview. The line was already long but there are separate lines for immigrants, non-immigrants, and others. I prepared my passport and appointment letter at the gate. Aside from electronic devices, USB, food and drinks are not allowed inside. It is best to eat beforehand and for smokers to leave your precious pack and lighter with your companion or at home.
The electronic queue board updates quickly. I brought a book with me but had no chance to open it for fear of missing out on my number. Numbers were randomly appearing on the screen.
I was called early on because my medical results apparently was yet to be forwarded by St. Luke's. I panicked a bit but the officer assured me that they will follow up and they will proceed wit... read complete review

Arrival time: Around 5:00 am - other applicants were already in line.
Tips:
Ask guard where to fall in line for immigrant visa/fiance visa
Bring umbrella and ballpen ( It started raining and I forgot mine so i had to buy from peddlers)
You can bring candies. I was told by a peddler that only 3 candies are allowed. I had 7 candies and they didn't confiscate it.
Document check outside: Around 6:00 am - followed guard's instruction, we were ushered to specific tent for nonimmigrant/immigrant applicants; personnel stapled my docs, flipped open my passport with biographic info into a plastic ziplock
Tips:
Prepare DS Forms, Appointment Letter, BPI Receipt, Passport
Remove passport cover
Paste your visa pictures on the DS Form 156
Don't print out the instruction info & google map page on your appointment letter. They wouldn't need it and they returned mine.
Make sure you are in the correct lane for ... read complete review

My hubby had his interview last Aug 10th but as of now, no update yet from the USEm. The consul took his passport and gave the paper stating that just wait for their mail if they need additional document from him. It's almost 3 months already and still waiting. Hope that he will receive his visa before we go on vacation this coming dec so that it's a Merry Christmas for us together as a family.

Uninformed as to the result of the interview. Numerous calls to US Embassy Manila to get answers. They kept the passport and would only say it is pending further review. No further documents were requested. No justifiable reasons for delay of visa. It is now 45 days since interview with no indication as to whether or not the visa will be given or not. We have been very patient. It was an exciting experience up until the interview. An email from the embassy 2 weeks after the interview is how we were informed it was refused (221(g)), pending administrative review.
