July 13, 2012: CR1 Interview Day: My husband woke me up at 4:00AM and wished me best of luck for today. Around 5:00Am, I and my aunt were all set, she has to drop me at the US Embassy after having an early breakfast at McDonalds just one block away from the hotel. But before that I told my husband I will brisk-walk again US Embassy from the hotel but he just laughed at me and told Miss Procrastination does not know what she's talking about. He told it's probably noon when i get there.(exaggerating.LOL) After having breakfast at Mcdo, my tummy went bad, probably from hot choco, so we went back to the hotel, my butt is ashamed of public toilets.LOL! I felt like we're running out of time already. I spent 15 minutes at the toilet, I ran-walked the hallway while my aunt was waiting down the lobby. We took a cab, reaching the embassy at around 6:00AM, my aunt went straight to the university she's teaching. There were queues for 7:30 appointment already. Vendors thought my appointment is for ... read complete review

Because my fiance finished his studies last year (2011), he only worked part-time and had an insufficient income. The US consul said they are not accepting joint sponsorship so we need to provide my fiance's recent pay stubs and letter of employment that will serve as evidences for current sustained income. We already have his 3 recent paystubs and just waiting for the letter of employment before we can send the needed documents to USEM.. They kept all of my files, including my passport.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

The filipino officer is not so nice...She seems more intimidating than the american CO. The CO is very friendly. He only ask few questions:
When and where did you meet your fiancee? When was the last time she visited the Phils? Did you work in other countries? Do you have pictures together? When do you plan to get married? Very simple simple questions...After that he said, everything seems fine...but did not say that we were approved...He just told us that we will be called again to recieve final instructions...After a few minutes, we were again called to the other window...The person on the 2GO counter said...ok, you are already approved, just wait for your visa to be delivered. He did not tell us any idea on how long woould that be...The whole process ended at about 1030

July 12, 2012 6:30 am at US Embassy Manila

I know I dont have a good sleep, I woke up at 3:30am, get up myself ready. Eat some before you go to your interview. I double check my things again even though last night before going to bed I checked it lol... I think everything is fine so we leave home (with my mama&brother) at around 5am.

5:45 at US Embassy, many were in line already. There are 2 linesfor Immigrant Visa together with Fiance Visa then another line for Non-Immigrant and Sea fearers. They started checking our requirement upon entering the embassy. They will tell you to ready your Appointment Letter and Passport, they will ask what did thr St. Luke's gave you after passing the medical exam, CD or Envelope? then I answered CD with my vaccination record, they will put a Barcode at the back of your passport and also a barcode to your 2go slip for shipping it has the same number. then gave me ziplock plastic for passport th... read complete review
