I am very happy today that my interview went well and visa application was approved. I am so thankful to my fiancé who really made his way here to be with me on my interview despite of his busy work. I think my interview wouldn't be that quick and easy if he was not with me. Today there were a lot of applicants and embassy had a technical problem so there were long waits for every steps. But it was just fine because many got approved today. Almost everybody I guessed.
Thank you everyone for your tips and for sharing your experiences to us. Thanks to my family for always supporting me all the way. Thanks to Almighty Father for hearing my prayers. I was really praying a lot when I was inside the embassy. Hopefully I can travel with my fiancé on the 30th of October.

VISA APPROVED!!!
Stayed in Boulevard Mansion Hotel which is just across the Embassy.Woke up 4:30 am but went to embassy 5:30 for my 6:15 appointment...Interview went well, the Filipino guy asked for my NBI clearance. And if I have pictures and remittances with me,I said yes but he didnt look at them...He told me to wait for my number to be called again.after 30 minutes the American consul in window 68 called my name. She ask who's my petitioner, wedding date, his work and how did we meet. And then she asked if I have plan to work,I said Im planning to take my NCLEX...ANd she smiled and said oh a nurse ...And told me the good news " Your visa is approved, welcome to US."

So happy ))... 8 months of stressful processing's over.

K1 visa interview experience

Today was my visa interview at the US Embassy. I'd just like to share my experience for a lot of you who are as anxious as I was. By the way, I passed (all thanks to God, my family, friends and fiance who were extremely supportive)

Here are some useful tips:
1.Prepare all your documents- put them in order like this: passport, DS forms (1 copt of 156k, 2 copies each of 156 and 157), NSO Birth certificate, CENOMAR, NBI clearance (keep the personal copy with you), bank receipt, Form I-134 along with ITR, W2 bank statement, employment letter etc.
2.Some other papers that I gave (they didnt really ask for these but I handed them along with the I-134) - a photocopy of my petitioner's passport and birth certificate, , co-sponsor's I-134, ITR, W2, bank statement, photocopy of passport/greencard whichever is applicable.
3.Arrange the evidence of your genuine relationship - preferably labeled and with some sequence ... read complete review

We spent the night at the Paragon Hotel which was a real nice room (junior suite). We woke at 4:30 am to prepare and by 5:40 we were in line at the Embassy. Their were about 40 people there already in front of us. Initially it seemed confusing ( us taking papers out of our folder etc).

We were fortunate in that our printed forms had barcodes. Some forms people print do not have the barcodes. It make the process somewhat smoother when outside.

Upon entering we were given a number and we sat and waited. When called my fiancee and her children (with me tagging along) had their biometrics accomplished (fingerprint scans).

We eventually went to the first interview window where a filipina interviewer talked to all of us ( children included ) She did ask about childrens father and if they divorced (trick question??). Anyways we brought proof their was no marriage before and that he was also deceased. To my surprise (not my fiancees) she asked fo... read complete review
