So, I left home at 0500 and got to the Embassy twenty minutes later. By then the line is like a mile long. Bee-lining to it, I turn in my DS Forms and passport. I place them in the ziplock bag provided by the Pinoy guard.
Into the Embassy I go. They scanned everything. Since I didn't bring any gadgets, I was let in. Ending at window 1, I drop off all the DS Forms and passport. They issue the number and mine was 6123. I sat down. My number flashed after 15 minutes. Window 39 was my designated window. Next fingerprinting. While getting the fingerprinting portion, they asked what my name is and my date of birth. Just two questions. I was directed to sit down and wait for my number to be flashed again. Twenty minutes later I was ON again. The Filipino screener asked for my NBI, CENOMAR and BC. My fiance's W2 and 1040. He asked the following questions. My name, my date of birth and my petitioner's name and his age. He asked if I have proof of communication and I said YES. She nods her head and told me to just show them to the Consul. She was very nice and had a smile on her face the whole time. She tells me to sit down to wait for another flash. Twenty-five minutes later.....it's my CO's interview. The CO greeted me with a very comforting smile and asked me HOW ARE YOU? I replied, FINE, Sir! Then he asked me to raise my hand. He was a very nice CO, he asked me basic questions..my name, my fiance's name and how did we meet and how long have we known each other? Of course I answered him with a smile on my face. He asked if I have pictures. I brought a thick photo album with over 100 pictures. He looks at three and gave me another smile. Since I put dates and places on the pictures, he didn't asked to see more. Then he said, go to window 79 (2GO rep) I wasn't sure if I was done or not so I asked him if my visa is approved. He said....YES with that very assuring smile again. Over all, I was there for one and a half hours. THANK YOU LORD.
I felt bad for those who didn't have their papers in order. I had mine with tabs. Thanks to VJ I had all the ammos I needed to make my journey smooth. Of course...thanks be to God.
