I accompanied my Fiancee (K1) and her daughter (K2) to their interviews at the USEM in Manila on DEC 10. Our interview schedules were at 7:30 AM and we arrived at the embassy around 6:20 AM.
6:20 AM - Grouping outside Embassy
===================================
With some direction from a couple of street vendors, we assembled in the "Fiancee" line at the base of the foot bridge that crosses Roxas Blvd. If you are unsure which line to fall in, just ask. Someone will know and its important to be in the correct one as you will be brought to the gate in groups based on your Visa type.
6:40 AM - First Checkpoint (The Gate)
======================================
At the gate, there are separate lanes based on Visa type. There are separate lanes for Fiancee Visas and this will be the first place you will be asked for your documents. Have your Passport, all DS forms, and your Appointment Letter (the one with the Bar Code and Map ... read complete review

It was a very good experience for me. My interview was last Nov 28, 2012 scheduled at 7:30AM.
I was already in line outside of the embassy at around 6AM. At the gate, the lady asked for my passport, interview appointment confirmation and DS forms. Thank God i found out about VJ, all the tips about whats not allowed inside is very helpful.
I was interview first by a fellow filipino. He asked me some very common questions about our relationship and some information about Paula. My interview with the consul took no less than 10 minutes. We had a very quick chat. He asked me if we really are in love with each other, when and where did i met her, and when and where do we plan to get married. At the end of our conversation, he said that he'll approve my Visa. I cant really express how happy i am when i heard that. As i look back, i picture myself having this huge smile on my face looking like retard. LOL.
But seriously, onc... read complete review

We arrived at the embassy around 6:30AM. Many people were there that day. The guards did a nice job of rounding people up for the appropriate lines and visas. Our interview appointment was 7:30 so we were a second batch of people to be processed through the lines. We got inside rather quickly. It was maybe 7AM, and we were already inside. The first thing before going inside was to present passport, appointment confirmation, and DS forms (as I write this, the embassy updated to include DS-230 last month, but we never needed it. Strange). We were given our number. The passport was given a bar code sticker and placed in plastic bag. Once inside, we did wait for over 2 hours before our number was called. Since much of the communication was in tagalog, I didn't realize much of what was being told to Jessa. I have read many times to go to window 39 first in the reviews. However, we were never told that. We were just told to wait for the number to flash. Anyway, a greeter kindly explained the... read complete review
