I remember when I have my interview back in the US Embassy Manila, I started queing around 4am then finally get out of the Embassy almost 1PM. The process is in order the only problem is the waiting time per window or area you should go to.

My husband's interview was on January 8, 2012 at 6:15a. I will relay everything he told me to the best of my ability, however, there will be pockets of missing information, as it was HIS interview, not my direct experience.

So, first off, from mt perspective, it is the day before (US Pacific)and I am looking for things to do to keep me busy. The anxiety from waiting has been agony, as many of us know...but this waiting was by far the worse (so far). After 12+ cleaning the whole house, working out and checking my Skype every 2 minutes, I FINALLY hear from my husband! I am puyat from waiting and waiting and he told me that he was approved. THIS WAS SUCH A RELIEF! It is nice to have that part out of the way.

Cutting to the chase, my husband told me he needed to go directly to NBI right after he spoke to the person at the last window. He had been at the USEM from early morning, to the late afternoon. I am guessing it is same wait time and dreaded exper... read complete review

Process was a bit slow as there were many applicants. The vendors and assistants were very helpful in directing us to the proper locations.
Always keep a watchful eye on the number board to see when you are called. Make sure you bring all your papers and be organized. Last but not least and probably should be first, prayers-prayers-and mnore-prayers

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview schedule: January 4, 2013; 6:15 AM

As others shared, there were a lot of "vendors" outside, reminding people that any gadgets are not allowed, bring black ballpen (not a sign pen or blue pen), etc.

5:45 AM - was in line by this time. It was a very rainy morning so I stood in line holding an umbrella, my bag of documents and my tiny purse. The inner line is for IV and Fiancee/Fiance Visa Applicants. Outer line is for non-IV applicants. Waited in line for approximately 30-40 minutes. Prepare the first page of the appointment letter and passport. A ziploc will be given for the passport. The 2GO delivery slip will be handed at this stage also. Proceeded to the main entrance, went through security check.

6:24 AM - got my magic number. Told to proceed to window 49 to drop the appointment letter with the attached number. Proceeded to the building entrance, another security check here. There are embassy staff around announcing where to pro... read complete review
