Manila embassy was packed! I was scheduled for a 7:30am appointment. I was there at 5:45 and I regretted it. June to August is rainy season so beware. Stood out there until 7am then was given my number. It is a waiting game there. Took me 6 hours before I was released.
Forms asked upon entrance:
2 DS156
2 DS157
1 DS156K
passport taken out of cover
appointment letter first page
Go through inspection and out to the ticket booth.
give the forms to the booth and they will give you a number/ticket.
Proceed inside and dont wait outside. It's cooler inside plus you have to give the forms to a greeted inside bc they will pass the forms to window 39.
Sit in a chair in between counters 40-65. It's closer to the counters you will be first called to.
You will have to come near a counter 4 times.
1.finger scanning
2.Filipino pre screener
3.Am... read complete review

12:40pm - Arrived at the embassy for my 1:30pm appointment.. Tha guard asked us to queue at the parking area near the main entrance..
1:10pm - We were let in by five's, I was the third in line..I passed through the body scan and luggage belt, left my phone and charger with the security..I was given a number to claim my things upon leaving the embassy. Next was another security check just before the entrance to the building. Then they told me to turn left and take a queue number.
1:15 - I took my queue number 004 (top button on the queueing machine) and sat down. The room was more like a bank with chairs facing Windows 1-8.. It's all closed when I went in.. They started calling around 1:20pm..
I noticed that non-immigrant visa queue numbers are called quite faster, like 2-3mins apart... They were called in Windows 1-3... However, Immigrant Visa applicants were called at Window 7, 20-30mins apart...
1:40 - I was called at Wind... read complete review

Here we go:
5:45AM - arrive at Manila embassy for our 7:30 app't. Already hundreds of folks there. We were directed to the correct line and started the wait. Side note: Met a fellow VJ'er while there. We had a great chat and caught up.
7:00AM - line starts moving, and eventually we end up at a tent where we submit our docs and passports. Everything was in order and we proceeded inside. Another side note: My fiance forgot to bring her 2 passport photos for the interview, so she had to get a couple taken inside the embassy walls. Also, she had a USB stick with her. I was elected to have it stored at the gatehouse.
7:30AM - we reunited inside the embassy with our number, 6112. She was called around 8:00AM for fingerprinting, then about an hour later, we went in front of the Filipino consulate staff. She had to sign and correct a few documents, but overall, it went quite smoothly. He said we will be called to the US consulate in a little while. ... read complete review

Arrived at USEM at 5:15am. They started collecting papers and slid it in plastic at 6am.
Everything went smoothly for me. The Filipino Consul asked me where I work, he thought I was a teacher but told him I am at Social Work and he was impressed and asked me further questions about my work and I have provided him needed informations. He asked for poctures and I opened the album and showed him pictures of our first meeting and wedding.
The American consul was also plesant. He asked how my husband and I met? When did he last visit me and why it takes so long? I answered him in all honesty and he was pleased. He asked me if my husband is a good man? I said he is a good chrisitian guy. Everything is well with my papers and I got approved at 10:30am.
That was really fast!
