I thank the Lord Jesus for helping me through this journey...and leading me to this site was very helpful, without VJ i know i would be ignorant about so many things about immigration process, not knowing where i am heading...to the VJ family, i love you all, and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I had my interview 3 days ago, July 1st and i was approved. Just like the others, i went to the embassy Manila at 5am, and about 6:30 i already got my number. 20 minutes interval from entering the building to the biometrics and to the 1st interview with the Filipino consul. She was really nice and friendly...she asked me for a document though that isn't on the list of what i was supposed to bring to the interview. that's the ADVISORY on MArriages, im really glad i have it ready just in case it would be asked. ( i only got the information to obtain this document in advance here at VJ...many called it CEMAR...what i did is applied for CENOMAR and thats what i got, an Advisory on Marriages, since i am married )
She asked me to sit down after handing her the document and showed her few pictures of me and hubby....
i was little impatient though about the waiting time for my next interview, with the American consul... 3 hours and 15 minutes!!!! but it was worth it! i was praying not to be sent to the feisty consul in front of us...he is scary and really digging deep about relationships asking so many questions to prove that application for visa isnt just for immigration purpose only....
After 3 long hours, my number was called, the American consul greeted me with a big smile, he has this humble spirit in him... He asked me few questions like, where did i meet my husband, his job, my job, countries where i used to work, etc...basic info about my hubby, he didnt bother to look at my photo album, and finally he said " Congratulations, Your visa is approved " and left me with a big smile again...He handed me a paper about immigrant rights in case of occurrence of domestic violence...
i was told to go to window 68 ( 2GO window ) and a young lady there told me to wait for my visa that would be delivered to my doorsteps, and that i could go home...after 10 long months of waiting...now i can breath and rest all my worries.... All Glory and Honor to our dear Lord JESUS! without His grace , mercy and guidance, i dont think this journey would be as smooth as this...
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
